Best Irish CB

The Ivorian himself. It's not ideal, but I thought I'll play a few games if I can, as you don't have long to complete him, and it gives people an idea if he is usable at least. Rocked this dude at rcb in Elite, floating around the 1800-1900 points range. Generally have had nothing to fault, so far I've loved him, and this is without an upgrade, which is massive with showdown cards.

The only issue is if you want this card to upgrade. Utd obviously are in fairly poor form, but Atletico are too, having dropped off massively, and are the same as Utd, struggling in must win games. You're basically relying on Ronaldo to show Simeone who's boss (again). Personally, I think its a boring 0-0 or 1-0 game, but I do believe Bailly will get upgraded.

I've been using Bailly with a Shadow (basic I know), but with him having decent enough passing an good physical, why not. I used him for 11 game, conceded a few goals but none were to errors made by Bailly, all were just goals scored by decent players, but this guys defending and physicality was not unnoticed next to flashback Varane.

Pace- Recovery pace is good, has high sprint speed so if players are forcing the over the tops to a quick striker, he will be shoulder to shoulder with them 99% of the time.

Passing- Quick passing and long passes are fine. 3* weak foot hasn't affected his passing at all. Luckily, he is composed as well, so I found I could hold off an attacker and allow myself time to pass the ball off too.

Dribbling- This might seem crazy but this is my favourite stat of his. Defending and Physical are obviously ideal but wtf, this guy turns so good with the ball, the way he reacts and for only having just under 80 agility, it feels like I'm turning with Mbappe. Been really good at turning and running with the ball, and his general dribbling with the ball is pretty solid.

Defending- Defending has been really good, noticed that his slide tackles are very consistent in not drawing fouls. I have it when ill make the most perfect slide tackle, win the ball and get penalised for it, but his tackling, AI positioning, and covering open spaces have been unreal for me.

Physical- Feels like Yaya Touré. In previous reviews I've done, I usually shame a player that has been bodied by the player I'm reviewing. I feel like he could out-strength Akinfenwa 9/10 times. Maybe his stamina could be better, but I've not seen it affect him in the later stages of a game. 90 jumping at 6'1" as well, he's not losing headers guys.

Med/High Workrates- The perfect workrates in my opinion for a CB, even more ideal than a low/high I'd say, offering higher up the pitch when it's needed, but has sat in the position I want him all game.

3*3*- Weak foot like I said has been really good, always say 3*wf always feels like a 4* minimum, and the skills is just an added bonus. You can do very effective skills with a 3* skiller, but it means you can't get lost in doing stupid/pointless skill moves if he had 4*sm.

I cannot comment on his shooting guys because he's not up for corners, nor do I shoot with him.

I used Eric Bailly for 23 games of Weekend league and he was an absolute rock at the back next to flashback Varane. Eric Bailly in the 23 games was spot on and he made no individual mistakes for any of the goals I conceded. Also with the chance he can get upgraded he is a must do for a prem team or if you have flashback varane and de gea.

Tackling: Eric Bailly wins the ball almost evert time his tackling ability is very consistent and he utilizes his strength very well when going in for the ball.

Jockey movement: This is my favorite part about the card Eric is extremely agile when moving side to side with the jockey movement. He is agile enough to defend the incredible left stick dribblers such as Messi and Neymar when they turn left or right. His jockeying is much more agile than a center back like flashback Varane, future stars Ndicka or Niakhate winter wildcards. He partners very well with a less agile center back physical oriented like showdown Sule or flashback Varane.

Strength: Bailly is ridiculously strong when tackling but also when running with a attacker. When shoulder to shoulder he easily pushes almost every attacker off the ball.

Pace: Eric Bailly's recovery pace is very good he can catch up to almost every attacker I played against this weekend league.

Acceleration: Even though Eric Bailly's pace is very good his acceleration can sometimes hinder him when mbappe or a attacker of that nature gets through the defense. But it is not a big issue because his recovery pace and sprint speed makes up for it. Also with a upgrade his acceleration could be completely fixed.

Stamina: I did not notice Eric Bailly's stamina that much but if you go into extra time it could be an issue if he does not run as quickly as the first half especially if your opponent subs on 90+ pace super subs. I would suggest having a cb or full back sub on the bench just incase Eric Bailly's stamina is a big issue

Superb CB!

Very composed with great pace with a possible +2 upgrade which makes it even better! Can catch up with almost all forwards when playing with a high line because of his pace, but his long passing can let you down at times if your playing style includes long balls. I would recommend a catalyst chem style if you play out from the back.

Eric Bailly Review
By Dharnesh2134, 21-02-2022

All i can say is this card is an absolute beast......the jockey in this card is crazy especially when u r going against mbappe or neymar the jus turn back n front n go past the defence but this card doesnt allow it......trust me its that fast. For a defender this guy driblles a lot....i have gone solo all the way to the goal post but couldnt score because his shooting is ofz

He's honestly terrible
By FifaMP, 27-02-2022

I read the other reviews thinking he would be good and after using him I'm honestly shocked at his performance. He's terrible. Literally so bad. He feels sooooooo slow and missed so many easy tackles, I would not recommend using him. I never write reviews but he was so bad I thought I'd warn others.

  • sometimes makes decent tackles
  • stamina isn't bad
  • nothing else
  • slow
  • misses most of the tackles
  • poor defending
  • overall horrible
