I needed a legend that was a strong link to IF Vini Jr. and saw Rivaldo and decided to give him a spin. This card is unbelievable; I have tried many different strikers this year and Rivaldo i feel is one of the most clinical strikers on the game. If you manage to pull a shot off with his left foot then it is game over. I used the hunter chem style to boost his pace as well as jacking off his shooting to near enough max. I picked him up for 716k and to me that is a steal he should be way higher. One of his main cons is his 2* weak foot, but even so does not feel like 2* as most shots on his right foot challenge the goalkeeper, but make sure to fire every shot with his left. Even as a CAM, he could fit in pefrectly with his 88 short passing and 87 vision as well as his 93 curve. Finesse shots are broken this year also, and writing this after the 'outside-the-box-finesse nerf', he still manages to score most finesse shots with his finesse shot trait which is a massive bonus.

Rivaldo!

So i packed this guy from mid icon. At first i was furious, why can't EA give me good icons packs? (The icons i got were Wright, Riquelme, Puyol and now this guy). I went to rant on Discord, but after i looked at his stats closely, I thought that me may actually be good in game!. His attacking stats are very similar to Cantona, so i gave him a try. I played him in 41212(2) at CAM with an engine.

Anyways, let me get to the ratings...

Pace: 8.5/10

He isn't the quickest, but with an engine you can make it work.

Shooting: 9/10

His finesse shots are pure magic. His long shots and finishing are also class. He shoots like Messi with his left. Shame that he can't shoot with his right. If he could, I would give him a 10, but that's not possible, so I give him, a 9.

Passing: 10/10

Again, pure magic. Perfect passes for a CAM. Great crosses and passing. One of the best playmakers in the game.

Dribbling: 9/10

It's a shame, that he is so tall and has a high and average+ body type, really. If he would have like 170cm and have a lean body type he would be one of the best dribblers in the game. But still, his dribbling is superb!

Defending: N/A

Yeah...

Physicality: 8/10

He can last the whole game, has 79 strength, can jump. What else to expect from a CAM?

He reminds me of...

Cantona (without the skills), Socrates, Rooney, Baggio (without the skills), Bergkamp.

Overall: 9/10

It's a shame, that he has 2* weak foot. If he would have 4*/5* he would be at least 700k. But besides that, he is a great CAM!

I packed this man in my mid icon pack, btw i thought it was pele so i started screaming as a pig and when i saw this bloke i started crying in my bed. I used him as a lam in 4-2-3-1 and i was not impressed. His agility was so bad and he got outran by everyone. When i tested him as striker his 2 star wf let me down a lot and in the middel he was better but not agile enough and his passing with his weaker foot was so bad. When he got in the space to shoot with his strong foot he scored them but the problem was he almost never did. Rivaldo didn't work for me, i will play with nabil fekir instead, but he may work for you.
