So now 86 Schlotterback has got 230 more InGameStats than for example 90 Nesta... EA should really fix the icon OR special cards. Not a single reason on earth why Schlotterback should have higher stats as 86 then a 90 Icon card...

Nesta is a pure CB, and his defensive stats are higher. He's also rated higher at CB. Schlotterbeck is a more rounded defender, who has played LB as well. His overall stats are higher because of the passing and dribbling. It is true that many people, including myself, will prefer Schlotterbeck despite having less defensive stats. This is more due to playstyle and the mechanics of the game. I agree icons should be much better, they have fallen behind the power curve over the years.
