This year I've used Kante for a bit but after packing Gattuso in my rival rewards I gave him a shot, and he is way better than him, he also has the lengthy acceleration type which is insane on this card his pace feels like 90, pop a shadow or Catalyst on him and you've got urself a CDM until 2023

Hello futbin users! So glad to be here and to be able to share with you all what will be my first ever review!

So let's talk about Gattuso's baby version. I got him on my 86 max ovr icon pack and I already knew that I had a beast cdm on my hands, probably wouldn't think the same in other years but now with the lengthy acceleRATE thingy I was very excited to see him on the pitch. And my expectations were more than accomplished. I've been playing him during this whole week (writing this on a saturday) in partner with frenkie de jong and later with renato sanches as the 2 cdms on a 4-2-2-2. Having a Basic chem style, made Rank V on weekend league while having 3 games left

Physical 9/10: Great stamina, strenght, and aggression. He is able to run a whole 120 minutes and when he stumbles into some player he will always either get the ball back or make a tactical foul, but as a wise man oce told me: "You either let the ball or the player through, but never both". He's not the tallest and doesn't have that much jumping so aerial duels were difficult for him.

Defending 10/10: He definetely IS the best defensive player I've used so far, had him on stay back while attacking and cut passing lanes as instructions and he was amazing at intercepting the ball.

Pasing 8/10: With his 87 short passing and 84 long passing it was very easy to get the ball out to the wings or even make quick through passes to the strikers, even though he only has 3 star weak foot the passing with his left foot wasn't the worst, but obviously can't rely on it that much for long or low driven passes. But with his right foot everything was great.

Shooting ?/10: I don't even remember shooting with him lol, he hasn't scored any goals unlike frenkie de jong and renato sanches so can't rate him very well here. (If you ask me, probably a 3/10 since he's got a half decent shot power)

Dribbling 7/10: Thought that he could probably be very clunky with the ball but he does a great job. Obviously you can't start the build up with elasticos or anything but the left stick dribbling and R1/RB dribbling were pretty nice for me.

Pace 8/10: Honestly, with the lenghty thing it feels like 10/10. I've had him sometimes blitz through the wing while carrying the ball and many defenders couldn't catch him. I won't put 10/10 for 2 reasons. #1 because he isn't the fastest lengthy cdm (sissoko, kessie, etc...) and #2 because I had him on basic chem style, now gonna try him with shadow and see what it's like.

Is he worth the coins?: I do think so if you want a decent cdm icon. There are other players that could also do the job and one specifically that you probably have in your club ehm ehm... OTW kessie. I haven't tried kessie ever but from what I've heard, he is also a great cdm and does the job for way less coins. And the fact that Icons don't link witht everyone now is also a let down, but in the end, it's a cheap and good icon.
