Ghosting Gullit

Packed Prime Ballack from the 88+ Icon Pack (4th German Icon from these packs this year, 2nd Ballack, :( the previous was his baby version back in October), checked his stats and price and thought that wasn’t bad, a good looking box to box with lengthy build and a decent pace. I jumped into Div 1 and gave him the chance to show what he’s capable of.

I’ll be straight with you - Ballack is a disappointment. He’s a ghosting Gullit, quite literally. He has everything a defensive midfielder needs - except defense. He has everything a box to box needs - except dribbling. He’s often not in the right position, he’s getting into shooting situations very rarely, his passing is nice but usually he’s too slow with it. Although he has a lengthy build and 89 pace with Shadow chemistry, he feels a lot slower than my WC Hero Morientes. He had base Hero Yaya Toure next to him in an identical position and role, but Yaya is just a head above Ballack in pretty much every aspect, and that’s why he already has 600+ matches played for my first team while Ballack is going to be sitting on the bench at best.

Perhaps Prime Ballack would be a great CDM a month or two ago, but at this stage at the end of January he’s just not that guy. Would recommend him only if you’re a big fan of him and playing in Div 3 or lower, for the rest - I wish you to not pack him.

Now I’m waiting for TOTY Xabi Alonso sbc, and as a big Liverpool fan I hope he’s gonna be a lot better than Ballack.
