Poor man's Dinho

I think everyone looking at this card is doing it for the same reason, memories of seeing him play on the pitch, simply magical. The second reason is obviously the fact that you can't afford his prime, let alone his toty, hence the title. I was in the same boat and really wanted to have dinho in my team after I tried his prime/toty in many drafts. I really wanted to make him work but after playing him for 20 games in elite div let me tell you this:

*His pace is actually decent, can be quite good if he has the space, unfortunately if there are defenders nearby he just gets bullied

*His dribbling can be quite good, but unfortunately is nowhere near his higher rated cards. I blame this on the body type (more on this below)

*His shooting was his most disappointing stat, especially when combined with the other things mentioned in this review. He misses clear chances, especially on his weak foot that tbh feels more like 3 stars max

*His passing was quite good, I was surprised since his passing stats are nothing special

*Positioning is awful, I played him everywhere on the pitch, st/lf/rf/even the attacking cm in 4321, cam and on the wing in 4231 yet he always manages to be in the wrong spot. He is very static and I'm not talking about runs since these you trigger manually with L1, however he is not your run in behind type of player. I am mainly talking about micromovement on the pitch, he just stays there, feels like AC Milan Ronaldinho irl. If you play him wide he always like to come central just to chill there if you play him central he literally walks over other player's position.

*Now, body type... they say Ronaldinho but it's not him. If you played prime/toty you know what I'm talking about. You do a skill move and he explodes afterwards, just like irl with his ponytail in the wind and smokes defenders. This one just feels like a regular 5* skiller, you just do skill moves but he doesn't have anything special about it.

To conclude, I would say based on my personal experience, do not bother. I think that considering all the cons, he would still be worth it if his body type felt the same, which is not the case. In this price range or even lower, do yourself a favor and buy any of these players (PTG Nkunku, FBD Best, FBD Rooney, Ginola, Jairzinho Mid/Prime).
