I made a similar comment about Makelele vs Vieira after using his loan so here is an updated version coming from a Div 1 player. Vieira is better at 1v1 situations as if he even touches you you’ve already lost the ball, however his marking is outdated and some quick 1-2 passes will get you past him. Makelele is better at generally disrupting play and making quick powerful tackles. His Defensive awareness combined with his reactions help him always put pressure and one slow pass or bad touch and he takes advantage. If you need an absolute rock in midfield get Vieira, otherwise do Makelele
