5 88's and 4 87's to go, spent about 300k coins so far, do i just try and accumulate fodder over time to finish the rest or sell my tradeables and dump 1.3mil into him to finish?

I have 9 squads left too, haven't spent anything yet. I got about 550k. IMO, take it easy and save your coins for now. Only spend if you're running out of time and you absolutely have to. We have 24days left, and once complete our ST/ LW position is set for the rest of the game.
