Correct, split modes wouldn't work. No one would play the women's mode so it would be a complete waste of time for EA to even do it. I agree though, I'm actually having a good time playing with the women cards. Morgan, Swanson, Rodman front 3 is electric for me. The key is simply not caring about "realism" in a game that's always been totally fake and just have a good time. That's what the game is meant for
