if anyone does him, how would he be as a CM? 4*4* is a huge upgrade

I finished him yesterday evening. He is him, first rivals game he scored a hattrick (2 trivelas, 1 free kick). Using him as a LCM in a 4321. Pace is beautiful (with shadow), shooting from range is fantastic, passing is perfect, dribbling is very good, and press-proven makes him feel smooth under pressure. Defending is great as well, you can certainly feel the 99 interceptions, he is a monster defensively. Physical is very good, don't be fooled by the low strength, he has bruiser which makes up for it. My only concerns were the H/L workrates, but set him to stay back and you'll be fine. Great!
