How the hell do you defend in this game, i literally can't get near the players to even get the ball off them!

Switch on the new advanced defending. Try out a few squad battles to get a feel for it, then jump back into rivals. The shoulder barge is OP with bruiser playstyle. Just got a learn a new way of playing my friend!
