if I see another dude ask if he should pair maldini with VVD or nesta, imma tie him up to a chair and make him watch highlights of ancelotti's Milan in clockwork orange fashion, so much that his brain will prevent him from even thinking about that question. Ik most of y'all are too young, but maldini and nesta is probably the most iconic defensive duo of all time and luckily I'm old enough to have memories from those days. how some people just don't pair them together naturally is something I'm not wired to understand
