The Best FC 24 Icon Evolutions

The long awaited Icon Evolution is finally here in FC 24! We’ve had many missed opportunities to upgrade our Icons with plenty just missing the rating cap on past Evo’s or even having the Icon rarity excluded. But the Evolution is finally here and we’re going to run you through some of the best options!

Socrates - 89 > 91

Socrates is by far and away the best option to use for this Evolution, you can take the Brazilian from a decent player to a world class option for your team with this upgrade. He goes from an 89 to a 91 and his base rating isn’t the only place to break the 90 barrier. The Shooting, Passing and Dribbling all increase from high 80s to low 90s, he’s a really solid option and definitely worth the upgrade.

Robin van Persie - 88 > 90

The +4 shooting really stands out on van Persie’s Evolution, the base 91 stats is fantastic as it is but this takes it to another level. 95 Shooting, 90 Dribbling and 87 Pace gives this card a really nice boost. Maybe not one for Arsenal fans to complete but a great upgrade all around.

Michael Ballack - 87 > 89

The German midfielder already has a higher rated version than his base in FC 24, but is the Evolution even better? Yes, absolutely. He’ll also come in slightly cheaper than the Thunderstruck too! Ballack turns into a Gullit Gang card with high Shooting, Passing and Physical stats to make an unbelievable attacking or box to box CM.

Gianfranco Zola - 87 > 89

Zola has always been a really tidy card in the early stages of FIFA games and with Evolutions he’s about to become usable for an even longer period of time. He possesses 92’s in both Shooting and Dribbling, meaning in and around the box he’s going to be deadly especially with those added PlayStyles.

Steven Gerrard - 88 > 90

We feel like this will be one of the most completed Icon Evolutions, we’ve seen plenty of Liverpool fans building hype around Gerrard and for good reason too. Defending may be a little low but he more than makes up for that in the attacking department. 92 Shooting combined with the PowerShot PlayStyle+ is going to make for one deadly combo in the final third.

Clarence Seedorf - 87 > 89

Now for many of you, Clarence Seedorf won’t be the guy for you. Although he still comes out with a solid card, there will be better options. But for us, after sitting down and chatting with him earlier this season, we’ll be taking any opportunity to upgrade him. We asked Seedorf to react to his FUT card and he wasn’t too impressed with some of the stats so hopefully he’ll be pleased with the upgrade, what a legend!
