FC 24 Player Moments Callum Hudson-Odoi Player Review - Cop or Flop

From Pundit Picks which you can't get into a game with to a Tradable Beckham SBC (Which definitely wasn't meant to be...) all the way to this Moments Hudson Odoi. It's fair to say it's been an odd week of content but anyway here we are trying out a 88-rated moments item that may go under the radar.

This item has obviously received a huge boost vs the normal 75-rated version but the most important upgrades are in the playstyles, Finesse+ always is a big win.

I debated on which chem style to use on this Hudson Odoi, Basic actually fits him quite well but I ended up going with Engine and it did not disappoint.

The winger went into the LM role in my 4231 squad with the hope of both getting him in space down his wing and then also having him get into the box for crosses from the opposite side.

The overall cost of these 3 SBC's is coming in just over 200,000 coins which has promoted heavy downvotes on his SBC.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Finesse shots, shocker. We all know how overpowered this playstyle+ is this year and when combined with the shooting stats of Hudson Odoi they are curving in and around goalkeepers with ease.

+ Crossing, despite not having the whipped cross he did deliver really nicely into dangerous areas.

+ Dribbling, he has a big body type so he isn't as easy to maneuver as other wingers BUT... I thought he controlled the ball really well and definitely has the ability to beat a man with his pace and dribbling combinations.

/ He was capable of winning the battles in the air, but his heading accuracy just killed his chances of scoring from winning the ball from crosses.

- Weak Foot, the 4* weak foot is there for all to see in the pre-game bio, however, in game that left foot didn't seem reliable at all.

I think this card is much better than it's been given credit for, that said it's not an elite item so it certainly isn't a must-complete. In my opinion, we're too close to Team of the Season now to be wasting coins on an SBC like this so with that in mind I won't recommend doing this SBC if you're short on coins, but if you have a lot spare I don't think you'll be too disappointed with the performance of the item.
