Euro 2024 is less than two weeks away and we expect to see our first promo surrounding the tournament this Friday! The “Path to Glory Countdown” has sparked plenty of excitement already and we’re more than ready for it to start. Alongside the promos in Ultimate Team starting soon, a Euro 2024 game mode has just been confirmed. Just like the Mens and Womens World Cup in previous years.

What is Path to Glory

Path to Glory is basically Road to the Knockouts and Road to The Final grouped into one card type. Players will represent their nations at Euro 2024 and the further they progress, the more upgrades they unlock.

We had the same style of cards for the last European Championships and Copa America which brought even more jeopardy to the already crucial matches. The upgrade path is expected to be similar, with upgrades per stage they progress through, but PlayStyles and PlayStyle+s may be rewarded at some stages.

Path To Glory Predictions

One issue we’ve seen with the Club European competitions is that 2 of the 3 winners (Atalana and Olympiakos) didn’t have a Road to The Final Item, meaning no RTTF ever reached its final potential. Olympiakos aren’t in the game but it’s still a shame there was no Atalanta card.

We’d love for the Euro cards to have at least one representative from each nation just in case a country with lower odds of winning progresses much further than expected.

Group A

Hosts Germany will kick off the tournament a week on Friday and we’ve opted for one of Dortmund's Champions League heroes, Niclas Füllkrug alongside long time Ultimate Team favourite Breel Embolo, Liam Cooper and Callum Styles.

Group B

Group B looks to be one of the toughest but with 4 of the 6 3rd place teams going through, we see no issue for Spain, Italy or Croatia here. Ferran Torres and El Sharaawy are the two big hitters in this group, with Brozovic and Bajrami joining them.

Group C

Phil Foden already has a 94 TOTS but with a throwback to his FIFA 21 Path to Glory and the fact he’s going to be one of England’s key men this summer, we had to choose him. His Manchester rival Rasmus Hojlund makes the cut for Denmark whilst Benjamin Sesko and everyone’s favourite CM, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic are also included.

Group D

Argentina’s World Cup Final and Semi-Final opponents meet each other in the group stage of Euro 2024 and could provide us with a tasty matchup. After Barcola’s crazy Evo earlier this year it’s only right to see him with a special card. Nathan Ake is one of the few Dutch players without a special card this year meaning he takes that spot. Arnautovic and Salamon finish off the Group D spaces.

Group E

Trossard again ole ole. Belgium arguably have the best kit at the tournament and we don’t really care who gets a card for them, as long as the dynamic image has this kit! We’re also hoping for a Lunin card after his incredible season with Real Madrid. Dragusin and Skriniar are also in for Romania and Slovakia.

Group F

Group F rounds off our predictions with a Bayer Leverkusen inclusion after their Invincible season, Arda Guler, Pedro Neto and Mikatuadze.

Who are you backing to win Euro 2024?
