FC 24 Euro 2024 Round of 16 Upgrades

The Euro 2024 Round of 16 is over meaning we say goodbye to another 8 teams. Italy, Denmark, Slovakia, Georgia, Belgium, Slovenia, Romania and Austria were all eliminated and will mostly be heading home without any extra upgrades from this round. The only upgrade from these teams is Make Your Mark De Ketelaere making his debut and unlocking +Chemistry.

Switzerland

Switzerland may have beaten Italy and made it to their second successive European Championship Quarter Final, but there are sadly no upgrades for them. Noah Okafor still hasn't entered the pitch and the Path to Glory Ndoye needs one more win for a +1. Could that come against England this weekend?

Germany

A delayed 2-0 win over Denmark meant that Germany progressed and will now face Spain in the Quarter Finals. Havertz and Musiala secured the victory after a slight weather delay. The two goals mean overall upgrades for the new Icons and Heroes, and PS+ Upgrades for Undav and Füllkrug

England

Who else? Jude Bellingam saved England and definitely saved Gareth Southgate’s job for at least another week. In terms of upgrades, yeah we don’t know either… Icons and Heroes were correctly upgraded as England scored their 2 goals for the new cards and took Gerrards tally to 4, but why were the other cards upgraded? England have only won 2 of their 4 matches so far, these cards have been prematurely upgraded but we’re not complaining.

Spain

Torres (+1 OVR and 99 Pace)
Alonso (+1 OVR and 99 Shooting)
Xavi (+1 OVR and Intercept+)
Puyol (+1 OVR and Bruiser+)
Williams (+1 OVR)

Georgia have provided us with some fantastic games so far but their run had to come to an end at some point. Spain went 1-0 down after dominating the first 40 minutes but broke through into the second half and secured their spot in the next round with a 4-1 win. All Icon upgrades unlocked and a spectacular Nico Williams goal means his Make Your Mark item gets a +1 upgrade!

France

We’re so thankful that Jan Verthongen put the ball in his own net, don’t think anyone could sit through another half an hour of that game. Despite the France victory, their lacklustre performance in the group stage means we’re still waiting on their 3rd win so no upgrades for the French cards this time round.

Portugal

Slovenia leave the Euros without losing any of their four matches (in regulation time) but they just couldn’t convert their penalties. 4 incredible penalty saves were the main talking points. One from Jan Oblak in extra time and then 3 from Diogo Costa in the shootout. Some really nice PS+ upgrades for the PTG cards and Overall upgrades for Patricio, Mendes and showdown Conceição.

Netherlands

A 3-0 win for the Netherlands was enough to get past Romania in what was a very tight contest up until the 80th minute. The three goal win meant a +1 upgrade for the Icons and there were 2 Make Your Mark upgrades. Xavi Simons registered his second assist and Virgil van Dijk shut out the Romania attack to secure his 2nd clean sheet. An appearance for him against Turkey means he makes it to 99 rated…

Turkey

Güler (+1 OVR)
Kökçü (+1 PS)

Arda Güler created both of Turkey’s goals against Austria with two impeccable corner deliveries, secured his assist upgrade and Turkey’s place in the last 8. A third win also means a +1 OVR upgrade for Orkun Kökçü.
