FC 25 Biggest Upgrades - Predictions

FC 25 is right around the corner and with it will come a whole new set of player ratings. The majority of ratings won’t move, or if they do it’ll be very small changes. However there are a few players who have set the footballing world on fire in 23/24 and will be receiving a huge boost heading into FC 25. We’ve predicted which players will be getting the highest upgrades for FC 25, including a Euro 2024 winner…

Lamine Yamal - FC Barcelona - 0 > 82

Lamine Yamal is our honourable mention on this list as technically he won’t be upgrading through the games, but instead heading straight in as an 82.

Although we do think even if he was included in FC 24, the upgrade heading into next year would still be enough to make the Top 10.

Euro 2024 Young Player of the Tournament, 10 G+A in La Liga, we’re expecting an 82 minimum for the 17 year old.

Viktor Gyokeres - Sporting CP - 75 > 84

Ahead of FC 24 we expected Viktor Gyokeres to be higher rated than 75 anyway, so it’s only right that his incredible form will result in a huge boost for 25.

The Swede has been on fire in his debut season for Sporting which has sparked links to some of Europe’s elite clubs.

43 Goals and 15 assists in just 50 matches this season, we’ve gone with a more than deserving +9!

Victor Boniface - Bayer Leverkusen - 74 > 83

After the phenomenal invincible season for Bayer Leverkusen we’re going to be seeing a lot of upgrades, but none more deserving than Victor Boniface.

Despite missing 3 months through injury at the beginning of 2024, Boniface still managed to log 22 G+A in the Bundesliga and help Leverkusen towards a League and Cup double!

Nestory Irankunda - Bayern Munich - 62 > 71

We stick in the Bundesliga with one of the most exciting young prospects in world football, Nestory Irankunda.

The Australian has been scoring goals in the A-League since he was 15 years old and earned his move to Bayern Munich this summer.

Just like Gyokeres, his initial FC 24 rating seemed a little low, pulling his 25 rating up by a larger margin.

Guillaume Restes - Toulouse - 69 > 79

Restes is one of the best young goalkeepers in the world and already has the backing of Thierry Henry, including him as the starting goalkeeper for the Olympics in Paris this summer.

9 clean sheets for Toulouse this season at just 19 years of age is massively impressive so expect a huge upgrade for him in FC 25.

Artem Dovbyk - Girona - 70 > 82

No one could have predicted the incredible rise of Girona in the 23/24 season, as they challenged for the La Liga title for a good part of the season.

Artem Dovbyk led the line for the Spanish side and returned 24 goals on their way to their Champions League debut.

Expect a minimum of +10 for Dovbyk in FC 25.

Michael Kayode - Fiorentina - 64 > 76

Our first Bronze to Gold Upgrade is Fiorentina right back Michael Kayode.

He made his debut in August 2023 and has since cemented his place at Right Back in the first team, featuring heavily in Fiorentina’s run to another UEFA Conference League final.

Martina Fernandez - Barcelona - 65 > 77

Irene Paredes and Mapi Leon make up one of the best defensive pairings in world football but after Mapi ruptured her ACL in December, was Barca’s defence going to worsen?

No. Martina Fernandez stepped up at centre half as Barcelona conceded just 10 goals in the league and won the UWCL.

Kobbie Mainoo - Manchester United - 62 > 79

We know that Kobbie has had a breakthrough season at Manchester United but we won’t get ahead of ourselves.

Plenty of predictions have him firmly into the 80s but we don’t think he’s there just yet.

A very well deserved +17 for Mainoo and we’re sure there'll be plenty of special cards on the way for the youngster too.

Cole Palmer - Chelsea - 66 > 83

After leaving Manchester City last summer, no one could have predicted the season that Cole Palmer was about to have.

He was the only bright spark in a very poor Chelsea team where he managed a whopping 22 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League.

Palmer’s incredible season was topped off with a goal in the Euro 2024 Final but wasn’t enough as England failed to hold out and were beaten by Spain.

Khiara Keating - Manchester City - 60 > 81

It’s bold, but we’re going for a massive +21 for Manchester City goalkeeper Khiara Keating.

The 20 year old was called in to replace Ellie Roebuck for the 23/24 season and proved to be one of, if not the best goalkeeper in the league last season.

Keating not only earned a spot in EA Sports Team of The Season, but also walked away with the Golden Glove and a Player of The Month Award!

Which other players do you think deserve a huge boost heading into FC 25?
