99 Futties Erling Haaland Player Review - Cop or Flop

I know I know.. It’s August and i’m here to talk about a Level 40 Objective Player. I promise I will touch some grass after this. But it’s a 99-Rated Haaland. I had to get my hands on this card. It wasn’t easy, nor was it any bit enjoyable. But we’re here now and I'm ready to run riot with this Futties Haaland card.

I will say right off the rip, I've not been a huge fan of Haaland’s card this year. He’s always seemed to feel like he’s missing something for me. His TOTS & TOTY card on release felt a huge difference but to me, he never quite fit in with my squad. But with all those 99 stats and now finally having Finesse+. I just have that feeling that this card might be something special.

Haaland drops straight into my main squad alongside Futties Abedi Pele and Al Owairan. Between these three alone I know this squad is going to run absolute riot. Trying to consider what Chemstyle to use is a little bit difficult when this card has 99s and high 90s all round. But I went with the Artist as I wanted to max out the Passing and Dribbling as much as possible as these were the lowest stats for him. The Engine chemstyle would also work well but honestly I don’t think any chemstyle will make much of a difference.

No SBC segments to talk about here today, the biggest thing for me with Objective cards is considering whether or not the time spent unlocking the item is time well spent. Honestly I think this comes down to whether or not you are actually playing games. If you are playing to spam SBC and try to pack as many big cards as possible, this probably isn’t worth the grind. But if you are actively still playing the game, whether that be completing EVOs, still playing champs or rivals for the rewards, then do like I did and complete objectives whilst you’re at it. I know we all say “It’s August” as a reason not to be grinding the game like we would through the majority of the cycle, but if you’re on the game you may as well play for the features. But whatever suits you!

How did he perform in-game?

+ Pace simply felt perfect. Having the rapid playstyle+ alongside his unique running animation resulted in him very often just burst past defenders and leaving them still reacting to whats just happened.

+ Shooting could not be faulted, finesses of course was as OP as you would expect but shots in general just didn’t seem to miss. He was a goal machine.

+ He was absolutely everywhere, his positioning and workrate was impressive. He was always moving into a great position to pickup the ball as well as fighting to win the ball back as soon as an attack started.

+ Physicality feels like an obvious win as he is massive and agile. He fought off opposition very well and despite the low interceptions, he blocked a lot of passes and won the ball back frequently.

/ Passing was relatively decent but it’s clear that this card is the target man as his ability didn’t shine here.

Haaland - Cop or Flop?

I honestly feel like this is possibly the best striker on the game. Now I can’t say I have used the best Mbappe card but honestly this Haaland card felt incredible and made winning games easy. I couldn’t find a fault with this card despite initially thinking I may not get on with it. But as a “free” item, this is possibly the best free card we have ever had. This is an all-round perfect striker and if you’re still actively playing this game I would recommend trying to get this card unlocked!

Verdict = COP
