The Best League SBC Cards of All Time

With Mathys Tel being released over the weekend it reminded us of the old school league SBCs and got us thinking about some of the all timers in that category. These are our Top 5 League SBC cards of all time!

5. Jonas

Jonas makes the list purely for the fact that he was the first. Giovinco also deserves a mention but Jonas was always my favourite. We loaded up the FIFA 17 Companion App for the first time to see not only League SBCs, but SBCs as a whole. FIFA 17 is where SBCs made their debut and kicked off the year with Jonas and Giovinco already in for us to complete. Not only did you unlock the card, but also 30,000 coins for your troubles.

4. Harry Maguire

FIFA 20 was the year where League SBCs really hit their peak and throughout the year instead of removing and being brought back with different rewards, more just kept on being added. The Premier League SBC started with two 84 rated cards and by Team of the Season both an 87 Shaqiri and 90 Harry Maguire had been added!

3. Cristiano

The Silver Ronaldo? At one point during FIFA 18 Cristiano was an extinct Silver card with a max price range of more than 200,000 coins, so when it was time to drop a J-League SBC, who would be chosen? Cristiano of course. The SBC version came in around a similar price to that range and was extremely overpowered, just not good enough to break into my Top 2.

2. Sudamericana Grind

As mentioned above, FIFA 20 was the peak for the League SBC grind, and none more so than the Sudamericana. It only required 10 squads and gave back an 88 rated card each time. You’d be breaking even completing it whilst also adding an 88 rated card to your club. This made virtually any SBC free as long as you were willing to put in the time for the SUDAMERICANA GRIIIIIIINNNDDDDD.

1. Luis Suarez

Where’s my Luis? I’m not sure how much of a shock this will be, but of course the 94 Suarez sits on top of the list. In my opinion, a Top 3 card of all time, he was that good. Yes, he was a very expensive card, with 88 rated squads needed for some teams, but it was more than worth it. If we see an MLS version of the FC 25 League SBCs, then it has to be a Luis Suarez as the reward.

Who is your favourite League SBC card of all time?
