FIFA 23 End of an Era Jordi Alba Player Review - Cop or Flop?

If you’re a Barcelona fan you must be enjoying all this Barca-related content right now?!…and could there still be a Pique to come?

End of an Era Jordi Alba is now in the game and is coming in at around 200,000 coins, which for a 95-rated card seems really good value! LaLiga teams are not short of left-back options that is for sure, with fellow Barcelona left back (TOTS) Alex Balde being one option, and Capdevila being another, and even after them two there is TOTS Gavlan and RTTF Miranda. The main comparison for me though will be WC Hero Capdevila because that card is outstanding and has been since it’s release, it’s one of a handful of items within this year's FUT that has truly stood the test of time.

As you can see this SBC is popular with the community, we haven’t seen a player SBC upvoted that much since ironically...End of an Era Busquets.

Jordi Alba slotted nicely into the Left Back spot, replacing Capdevila, linking up with his Barcelona teammates.

How did he perform in-game?

+ The Passing, wow, brilliant, for a defender, this guy sure can distribute, If you get a chance watch the video above, Alba's crossing was great and his through balls had pin point accuracy at times.
+ Jordi's ability to dribble was also notable, not just when attacking but also when in tight situations, he was able to maneuver really smoothly to find that extra bit of space to release a pace.
+ Interceptions were a regular thing with this item, he natural is moving up and down the wing alot, and his pace allowed him to steal the ball on a regular occurrence.
/ Have to comment on his positioning as those High/High work rates certainly do have an effect, he likes to get forward naturally - so expect that if you don't use player instructions, if you want him to sit back make sure you put him on stay back, but if you like an attacking full back you'll enjoy his willingness to get forward and join attacks naturally.
- His strength didn't live up to the expectations of the stats to be honest, naturally 84, but boosted to 92 with the anchor chem style applied, he still lacked that physical presence that some full backs have at this stage.

End of an Era Jordi Alba – Cop or Flop?

This is one of them that may cause a bit of debate but if I had to pick a left back to use for the rest of FIFA between this Alba & Capdevila, I’d go with Capdevila (Not his base but the WC or FF). His items are just so solid in both defense and attack, This End of an Era Alba is definitely better going forward, but Joan is much...MUCH better in defense.

That being said 200,000 coins for a 95-rated Left Back is still great value…
