Well, let me start this review by telling you that Bergkamp is outstanding. All the stats i am going to talk about include the boost he gets with a Finisher Chem Style. I tried him with an Engine as well, but trust me: Give this guy some strengt and increase his shooting even more, it will pay off. I played him at CAM in a 4231 next to Rui Costa, Litmanen and Hernandez.

Let's talk about his cons first to get them out of the way.

The first problem I had was his work rate combination. His medium defensive workrate will make him help out in defense a bit, but a huge problem is his medium attacking work rate which means he is gonna need some time to get back to attack. I also didn't like his Heading Accuracy (64). Being kind of tall (6'0") makes him win headers, but he won't really score a goal this way.

Alright, but now there are a lot of positive things to mention

I don't even know where to start as there are so many things. I already mentioned his height. He feels very strong his 87 strength, will win headers and most importantly: he still is agile. He does not move like a rock or train like other prime icons with low balance do. If you have problems with it, try out Engine. But for me, 81 Agility and 82 Balance are enough on him.

By far his biggest pro is his shooting. With the chem style it goes up to 98. Trust me, he is not gonna miss a single shot. That's why he is a game changer as well. Even if your opponent is dominating you, Bergkamp can score you a banging long shot (99). But his shooting abilities are nearly unlimited. Finesse shot? Easy. Low driven finish? No problem. Left or right foot? Doesn't matter. I want to stress his Shot Power (99). Sometimes I thought Bergkamp wants the goalkeeper to fly into the net while trying to save the ball. His Attacking Positioning (94) makes him a goal maschine that will score every game.

Having 84 Pace at CAM is enough anyways, you could also play him at ST. You will have to increase his pace then. Talking about increasing pace with chem styles, his next pro is his flexibility. You want a strong player? Give him Finisher. You want an agile player? Give him Engine. You want him to be quick? Try Hunter.

His Stamina at 82 could be better, but he is not gonna run that much with his M/M anyways, so 82 definitely is enough. Didn't have to sub him off within 33 games.

I also want to mention his defending. For a CAM with 37 defending he intercepts a lot of passes. His passing is pretty good as well. Don't really think it's that special, but he gets the job done.

height, physicality (especially strength and stamina), dribbling (especially balance and agility), shooting, shooting, shooting, attacking positioning, 4* WF, 4* Skills, passing, you can adapt him to you style by using chem styles

Other Dennis Bergkamp Reviews

Wow. Just Wow.

To start out, I love Dennis Bergkamp and especially enjoy screaming THERE IS BEAR CUM when he scores, something he does quite often. This card is no joke. I turned in Rui Costa at 6:03 yesterday and got this card by 7:30. Rui Costa, by the way, is exceptional if you'd like dog shit at your CAM postition. Bergkamp has completely taken over his position with full authority. The man can shoot like a trained KGB sniper, and can...

Dennis Bergkamp - Pure class

After having played around for 150 games with Dennis "Iceman" Bergkamp, my youth hero and all-time favorite player from my home nation, I decided to write a review about him. This might be slightly biased though.Bergkamp can play as both a CAM and a ST and is very prolific in both of these positions. I've used him mostly as a ST in either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3(4) and played him around 20 games at CAM (with Engine...

Foot like a traction engine

I did the Bergkamp SBC because I wanted to try a striker that was a little taller and slower than most players I've used and so it was a bit of a gamble. However, after getting using him for 5/6, making sure I had him playing in the right position with the right chemistry style, I can happily say it was worth every coin. I initially tried him at CF and then at RS, and didn't find much success. But once I used him as a lone ...
