Van The Man

First review but was compelled to write one after playing 10 games with the brilliant Van Basten. Now the first thing to say is he suits my style of play perfectly, I'm not a big skiller but like the odd heal flick and ball roll so his 3 star skills is perfect for me. His hold up play is fantastic and has a brilliant ability to keep the ball when you would normally lose it, in the box he always seems to be able to get a shot off when other players would have been blocked. Pace has been fine, but blistering but a decent through ball and he doesn't get caught. Heading has been very good (not 89 Ibra good but good, I play Zlat just behind, the two of them are deadly) but the main thing obviously his shots, Wow some of the goals I've scored with him are outrageous and as you get more confident with him you just start shooting from silly angles and distances. He's crashed 4 in off the crossbar from down town and with his positioning is alway in the right spot and makes the right runs.

Ive played with decent strikers and currently have 6 Icons all SBC bar Jay Jay 87 (he's a good lad too) but Van just feels Elite and for me has been a game changer.

Absolutely Sensational!

Van Basten is easily the best striker I have used so far on FIFA 18. I have tried the likes of Inform Jesus, 85 Crespo, 86 Shevchenko and Aguero and he is far more superior than all of them. It took me only 3 games on his loan to complete his Prime and I haven't looked back since. He is perfect for shooting at any distances and angles as well as hold up and link up play. He is also surprisingly agile for someone who is 6ft2...

Marco Van Basten - The G.O.A.T

So all throughout Fifa 18 my go to stratergy was 4-3-2-1 with the classic striker above 88 pace, i have used quite a few great strikers not the best but I've had Owen 88, mertens 86,87,88, jesus 84, wilson 84 however van basten blows them all out the water, after seeing the sbc come out i decided to change my trusty formation of 2 years and go 4-1-2-1-2(2) with van basten having a nice fast partner for 1-2s.

Favourite striker so far

Such an amazing striker, his shooting is so phenomenal, have scored so many insane longshots and impossible goals with this guy. I'm using him with the catalyst chemistry style for the extra pace and passing in a 41212 (2) formation where I swap him from CAM to ST ingame. Also a great dribbler if you get used to his dribbling.
