Honest Del Piero review

After another brilliant performance I thought I would review my main man Del Piero. There are plenty other reviews out there but one more can't hurt. Let's review him stat by stat:

Shooting

With the hunter chemistry style his stats are just insane and it shows in game. He can score every single type of shot and with both feet. He is always in the right position as well which makes him dangerous all the time. I was worried about his medium attacking workrate but this didn't affect him at all. Altough I have to mention that I trigger most runs myself. He did miss the occasional "easy" shot but he is human after all. The Finesse Shot trait also shows in his longshots as he scores them easily from both inside and outside the box.

Pace

This also gets boosted with the hunter chem style and whether you believe in them or not he did feel rapid on the pitch. Didn't have any trouble blasting past defenders.

Passing

All his passing stats are around the 90 mark (except for long passing) and he excels at this too. One time he put someone trough on goal that I didn't even notice. I missed the shot because I was so surprised but man this guy can pass. His crossing is amazing as well and I scored my first 2 free kicks with him. His corners are decent too.

Dribbling

Not gonna lie I was afraid of his "low" agility but his insane dribbling and ball control combined with the Technical Dribbler trait make him very nifty on the ball. He can turn very quickly which allows him to get his shot or pass away before the defender catches him.

Defending - irrelevant but not very good as you would expect. His heading accuracy is decent but I didn't really notice it in game because he is small and won't win much headers.

Physicality

The only letdown of the card. His stamina is decent for a CAM and I didn't have any problems with it. The other stats are bang on average. His balance didn't bother me much because he will lose most battles anyway.

Overall

Is Del Piero worth it? In my opinion: Yes. Why? Because he excells at 4 of the main things you want in a CAM. If you combine this with his 5* weak foot, 4* skill moves and good traits he becomes a deadly monster. Is he the best player in the game? No. His physical stats are way too low for that. However you can avoid most one on one battles as you can go either way with his 5* weak foot. The most two important things about this card however are the following: 1. He is so enjoyable to play with, the goals he scores are insane at times and his passing is great as well. 2. He makes your attack way more unpredictable. You can do anything once you're near the opponent penalty area: pass, dribble or shoot. He broke the deadlock for me so many times this weekend by a longshot or a great pass. I went 14-3 which is pretty good for a Elite 3 player. He will stay my CAM for the rest of the game.

I have used a lot of good players, especially strikers, but I like Del Piero the most. He scores on almost every opportunity and it doesn't matter which foot he uses thanks to his 5 star weak foot.
