Player Review
89 - Normal
The last years I always loved KDB, so I wanted him this year again to go in the right CM role together in a midfield with Eriksen and Kouyate (also tried him with Alli instead of Eriksen).
The player he replaced was Dele Alli and from the first game on i didn't really get used to him. Maybe because of his high/high workrates, but he was not present enough at the front and when he had chances, he missed most of them. Going backwards he was very good and won a lot of tackles tho, but I bought him because I wanted him to play the deadly throughball to one of my attackers or to smash some goals from distance with his 84 shooting, but that was rarely the case. Also when I held up the ball with Jesus, normally my Alli makes a run so I have someone to play it to, but when I needed a run from KDB, it never came.
And it's not that I say it is a bad card or something like that, I mean he was pretty solid, but a card worth more than 300k (origin, mid of november) should make the difference in a tight game and not miss game-winning chances.
His passing in the midfield was pretty good, a bit weaker than Eriksens tho, but it didn't bother me too much. His pace is very good for a CM or CAM too and I also had no issues with his crossing, infact when he crossed, a good chance was always near, but from the CM spot he never really came to cross the ball too often.
What I disliked about him was his strength and his agility. Normally a strong player isn't that agile and the other way round, but that wasn't the case with KDB. He couldn't move as agile as Eriksen or Alli, but he wasn't stronger as them as well.
And then I also tried him in a 41212 in the CAM spot because I thought maybe he's just lost as a CM, but it really didn't make much of a difference.. so now im playing my Alli instead of him and will maybe try out Pogba or an icon if I can afford them and need a change in my team.
To sum it up, it is a solid and good card, but not for 300k+
