I placed 87 Crespo as the main goal threat next to Aguero in a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow formation with Dybala behind them as support. This trio proved to be deadly as they controbuted to a combined 150 goals and 95 assists in the 33 games they played together. Crespo currently has 99 goals in 37 games for me. I bought him a day before I purchased the rest of my team.
Crespo is clearly the 'finisher' of the trio. This is his main asset. About 95% of the chances he gets end up in the back of the net. The runs he makes, and his positioning is incredible. He always is in the right place at the right time. This is a reflection of his 89 positioning and 92 composure. He is always ice cold in front of goal. Double 4 stars mean he is versatile and pull off a skill move or shoot with his left in a tight position.
I played with strikers like 84 Jesus, Lacazette, Higuain, Lewandowski, Mertens and now Aguero. None of these strikers were nearly half as good or prolific as Crespo was, bar Aguero. Aguero seems like a slightly weaker but more agile Crespo. He also misses the odd chance every once and again, which Crespo just doesn't. Crespo doesn't feel slow at all and once he's behind the defence, catching up to him and pushing him off the ball isn't easy because his strength isn't bad either. His agility and dribbling are also decent; not the best but definitely not the worse.
I do have to admit that he is NOT a game changer on his own. I believe he needs a good team to be built around him to perform (A team worth +- 1.5M). His dribbling and passing (and maybe pace) are not enough in order for him to win games on his own. If you build a decently strong squad around him, he becomes a game changer and goal scoring madman.
Crespo's tactics are run behind the defence and press the back line.
- Incredible finishing

- Suprisingly agile, quick and adept at dribbling
- Good at headers
- Decent strength + height
- Double 4 stars
- His passes can be off sometimes
- Very expensive
- Not a game changer on his own
