Kluivert on the cheap
By Futtactics, 16-11-2017

I make the kluivert comparison because I already had the 88 card of kluivert and I really liked him but when I was looking for a similar card that was cheaper I couldn't find any... untill divock origi got a position change with the path to glory event.

When you look at the type of striker Kluivert is, he's a bit of an odd one. For starters he's quite fast for his size, but he's also very strong and he has high/low workrates. He also has decent passing. Apart from divock orig there aren't many strikers like him Origi has the most similarities with kluivert. He's also strong, big and fast with a decent pass, and he has high/medium workrates.

What I like with this type of striker is that because of his size and strength he can retain the ball up front by using his body and in combination with his speed he can be quite agressive on the defence. If a big strong guy is in space with this kind of speed, you will not be able to catch him because the defender needs to go around him to get the ball, you cannot just push him of the ball, he's too big and strong for that. If the defender is able to pin him down he's still got that decent passing to get the ball to a teammate, and he can use his body to keep the defender at bay.

There are still quite some differences with kluivert though, origi is a bit worse at long shots (which aren't very good with kluivert either) and he's not such a good passer as kluivert (but he's still a decent passer for a striker). Origi has 3 star weak foot (kluivert has 4) and he's not that good at heading like kluivert. It's not that bad though, it's still 82 heading accuracy and 79 jumping. With his size, strength and attack positioning he'll be a better header than a lot of strikers, but don't expect him to be such a masterfull header like kluivert. He also has less ball control and reactions than kluivert, which makes him less quick on the first touch. The ball control is still good enough for passing though, since he got that size and strength to keep the defender off the ball. But kluivert is still better in this regard, because he has more ball control he will be able to keep the ball better and he still got that better pass.

Origi doesn't have a lot of curve so if you shoot on goal it's better not to use finesse but just shoot hard. He's got 87 finishing, that's not bad at all, just make sure to use his right foot because since you need to shoot hard, his three star weak foot will feel a bit worse than it is. You can also try a ground shot if you need to use that left foot because ground shots can be more effective if you want to use less power on the shot.

As you can see there's certainly disadvantages to this card compared to kluivert but it's the closest you going to get and this card is like 10 times cheaper. But there are some advantages for this card as well. Origi may not have the reactions and ball controll of kluivert, he's got more agility and dribbling , he also got more top speed. That means origi can make nasty turns for such a strong and big guy. and if he does this on the counter while running full speed, a lot of defenders will be surprised by him. He also got more strength than kluivert, and 87 strength on a big striker is just nasty.

Overall, I can only say this 82 rated card is overpowered and it could easliy be 86 rated. Don't forget this is a path to glory card as well and it will get upgraded if origi gets a special card like team of the week, man of the match, european team of the tournament, hero, or record breaker. It's not like origi has a lot of competition in wolfsburg either so this could be quite a good investment.

Wow... what can I say... I don't usually write reviews but for my main man I just had to, he left me no choice! I understand probably no one will read this so I'll make it short. I play mostly div 1 and DKT and Origi is more than enough for me against those sort of players.

Origi is an amazing striker, as said he is the first player in my team, and I have a pretty decent team, eMOTM Werner Partnering at ST(Whom he works incredibly well with), Birthday Schurrle at CAM (WOW A MUST HAVE) and TOTS Keita. Origi is by far the most versatile. His finishing is very good, dribbling is enough to make you impressed, heading is surprisingly fantastic and strength is what really sets him apart. I love my pace so I used, and recommend a hunter chem style. His pace is brilliant. The combination of height, strength, pace, heading and shooting is really something to marvel. I have been using SIF ST Arnautovic and the comparison is uncanny, Origi is just a little smaller but faster. I honestly love this card and for his price I would say snap him up, he works as a versatile player with a brilliant combo of pace, power and finishing. Definitely a must have

Pace- with a hunter, good luck defenders

Strength- brilliant against a vast majority of div 1 players I come up against

Heading- while not a stand out is good enough to be noticeable

Price- for almost discard? please he is easily triple his current price

Versatility- his wide skill set mean he can play a variety of roles,

With TOTs so cheap right now, there are other options such as Uth for not a whole lot more

3* weak foot, can be inconsistent, sometimes you won't even notice but occasionally it pops up

OMG Amazing Player

well I was lucky enough to snipe him for 55k. Worth the money in 35 games he scored 49 goals, I packed Hazard 91 in the totw sbc tradable, so i wanted to try a bundesliga side so i got Aubameyang paired up with origi

A True Beast

Such an amazing card, playing him in a 2 striker formation and he pretty much makes auba seem invisible, great pace, shooting and strength.

He can shield the ball of from many defenders even some of the highest rated, he can bang goals in like a machine and he is quick enough to outrun most fullbacks.

Value at It's Best

Divock Origi has so far scored 17 goals and got 4 assists in 10 games of FUT Champs alongside Timo Werner. I would recommend his path to glory card ahead of his inform due to the position change alone. I feel like this card is wasted out wide and is a perfect striker. I played him with pressing back line and get in behind and used RB to trigger his runs which I find is very helpful with this card.

SHOOTING: Origi's shot power is a massive asset to his shooting, although only 85 on his in-games it feels much more and I would suggest using power shots with this card ahead of finesse shots. Another reason for this suggestion of finesse shots is that he only has 61 curve which often leads to finesses ending up being caught by the keeper. His three star weak foot is also a little bit lack lustre as many shots with his left will lack power and accuracy, anything outside the 18 yard box keep on his right foot.

PACE: Origi feels rapid but sometimes takes a while to get up to speed but once he is at full speed he bulldozes through defences. Saying that, he can often get shrugged of the ball when holding LB/L2 this is likely due to his 66 balance which can occasionally let him down. The low balance also means that when through on goal strong, fast defenders such as Bailly and Varane will shrug him of the ball.

DRIBBLING: Origi's dribbling can feel clunky at times and this is another benefit of this striker card as dribbling is not as necessary. This was one of the main problems I found with his RW card.

PATH TO GLORY: Although this card is 20k more than his inform there is a high possibility of a second IF which would be an 84 rated card so buying this card could act as an investment and I can see an 84 rated going for upwards of 150k.
