Inexpensive option for Prem
By Joelthegreat2, 22-05-2018

Zeeglaar won't blow your mind away with only average stats in most areas, however will be an attacking fullback if not put on stay back while defending. His pace is something lacking heavily for me, with him being unable to catch even the likes of Bellerabi or Mahrez. His physicallity, however, makes up for that with his 87 strength being the standout stat with him easily out-muscling many wingers. Both passing and dribbling are acceptable yet shooting is irrelevant to me as he is never in a position to shoot. Not bad for 15k (PS4) but better options may be available (TOTS Robertson/Futmas Rose)

Physicality- especially 87 strength

passing

dribbling

price for the card he is

PACE!

Very attacking if not on stay back while attacking (Does not affect every fifa player)

Defending can be hit and miss

BEST LB IN THE PREM
By andrisnaer, 28-02-2018

so i have been using IF Zeegelaar ( with a shadow chem style ) for while now to link up with my futmas VanDijk and futmas WIijnaldum and i have relized that he is the best premier league LB, and here are a couple of reasons why:

PROS:

87 STRENGTH/HEIGHT: 87 strength means that he can bylly all those weak wingers of the ball and also keep up with them. That strength and heigth also helps him winning all those far post headers to clear them away:

85 CROSSING: i use SIF Arnautovic at ST so that means that 85 crossing will help alot with winning those headers, and he has grabbed quite a few assists with that tactic

91 DEFENDING ( WITH SHADOW ): using the shadow cchem style boosts his defending skill to some massive stats like 93 marking, 97 standing tackle and 97 sliding tacklewhich means if your Cb goes on an adventure Zeegelaar can will in that spot with no problems at all.

95 PACE ( WITH SHADOW ): that 95 pace is massive because he is so tall and strong that wingers have problems getting passed him.

HEADING: his heading actually surprised me, he has acctually scored a few headers from corners.

WELL ROUNDED FULLBACK: when i first looked his stats i was only thinking he would be a defending fullback because his shooting was only beacuse of his shot power and posistioning but i was wrong he is very good going forward, but his passing is very incosistent

CONS:

58 BALANCE: isnt very good staying on his feet, but that isnt very relivant for him in the LB posistion

69 FINISHING: that a veery good finisher if he gets lost in the box

INCOSISTENT PASSING: one time it can be going all okay but the next pass can go so badly.

WORTH 50K: he isnt the best value for what you get

An Inoffensive Option
By xxxx1337ski11zx, 19-12-2017

I picked up Zeegelaar after predicting him for TOTW 11 and not being convinced by either IF Kolasinac (too defensive) or IF Young (right footed and weak). He initially looked like the prototypical left back for my play style with great attacking stats, strength, and decent pace. After about 100 games with him his in game stats allow him to excel in some areas but disappoint in others.

PACE: His pace is good enough for a left back with the high sprint speed, and rarely saw himself outpaced massively.

SHOOTING: Although most would consider shooting stats irrelevant with a left back I use mine to provide extra attacking options in the 41212 narrow, and Zeegelaar exceeded my expectations with his 83 attack positioning putting him in great areas to use his combination of 85 shot power and 69 finishing to put his chances away.

PASSING: Excluding his great crossing, passing was one of the areas this card disappointed me with, specifically short passing at 76. He would regularly roll simple passes to opposing players ruining opportunities and sending momentum in the opposite direction.

DRIBBLING: Dribbling was overall tidy except for his 58 balance, where even cards like Benjamin Mendy simply leave him in the dust. The balance combined with his height made him feel more shaky than solid on the ball.

DEFENDING: Zeegelaar's defending was decent enough and at times felt more around an 80 rather than 78 with his good tackling abilities. PHYSICAL: The physical on this card was both good and bad at times with the 87 strength being the highlight with him. He was more than capable of slamming into strikers and sending most wingers flying. However, the 69 jumping often saw him more akin to a fire hydrant in the air, memorably with Ben Yedder vaulting over him to seal a late win off of a corner. The 87 stamina felt very underwhelming with him often coming off around the 75' for my red Fabra (my favorite lb) for more defensive and offensive security. This may come down to the work ethic I force upon my full backs.

OVERALL: Zeegelaar finds himself able to prove his worth in some areas, namely strength, but unable to in others. He's an inoffensive option for your PL FUT team if you have spare coins but are still far from SIF Young or IF Kolasinac. If you don't have the 30-35k to spend, Benjamin Mendy should more than suffice.

  • Good enough pace
  • Not the worst shooting left back
  • Decent tackler
  • Crossing
  • STRENGTH
  • Short passing, can give up easy passes
  • Balance makes him feel clunky on the ball
  • Doesn't make the most of his height with low jumping
  • Doesn't feel like 87 stamina
  • No in game face :(

The LB Walker
By Dieguiinn, 16-01-2018

Ok, I should start saying that the Premier League has good players for all positions (In FIFA). But one of the positions that really disappoints me is the LB, there are plenty of players, but no one seems to be the Valencia or Walker we have on the Right side (Walker is my favourite RB on the game, that´s why the title). I tried Rose, Alonso NIF and IF, Young IF and SIF, but I was never happy enough, so I decided to give a try to Zeegelaar, and believe me, I think I found what I was looking for.

I use always the "Stay Back while attacking" instruction, to have no problems on my defensive line, I need a Defensive Left Back, I am not interested on going up with my backs.

When I use a Left or Right Back, I need him to be fast, strong and decent at passing, Walker gives me all on the Right, and Zeegelaar too!, He is fast enough to reach Fast Players (With Shadow even more) , he is Strong enough to steal the ball, and he don´t gift the possession to my opponent when he passes the ball. So yes, Zeegelaar didn´t made mistakes, he is a good option for your back, it worth it.

Fast Enough (Even More with Shadow)

Standing Tackles

Good at defending in General

Headers

Balance (Don´t matters a lot for me)

Shooting (If you want an Attacking Back, he is not your option)

Good but not great
By littleman12212, 04-12-2017

I have tried IF Kolasinic, IF ashley young, even tried to use other RB's off chem, the BPL simply doesn't have a great lb option. I have had average results with the previous mentioned players. I picked up IF Zeegelaar for around 43k (ps4) with an anchor chem style because he was a new lb with good stats. His physical ability is great for muscling but somehow he doesn't win too many headers despite being over 6'. His pace is decent, doesnt reflect the 86 sprint speed in his detailed stats though. his standing defending and sliding defending is what I believe his best features are. there is much left to be desired with zeegelaar but he is the best lb in the prem currently with pace.
