Best Striker in FUT ?
By mb9awesome, 10-01-2018

In FiFA 17 Immobile was my favorite striker in the game since his First inform came out (i think it was an 83 rating). I even remember the feeling when i had the guaranteed TOTS Pack and managed to pack my favorite player in a free pack. Hands down the best card i have used in FIFA. Has anything changed in FIFA 18 ? Definitely Not ! His regular card has 647 Goals in 426 Games. So i Decided to get his first Inform and i sold him in the same day because he felt the same as his normal card so i continued using that. This second inform doe. The speed of immobile Feels so much better than his regular card , the agility is upgraded a lot as well. Basically everything about the card is a lot better now (i didn't think this is possible). Would definitely recommend him to every single player in the game, doesn't matter if you have a team with Messi and Ronaldo or a team with Lozano and Alessandrini (even doe i am scared to come up against him in FUT Champs). All games are played in division 1

-Blistering Pace for only 85 on the card rating

-10/10 Shooting, every shot is a goal

-Physicality and Heading is amazing, he feels strong and it's a big areal thread

-Dribling is almost perfect as well, his agility feels like high 80's even doe his Balance could be a bit better (don't worry he doesn't fall on the ground like a Drunk Donkey)

-Stamina is Great

-Passing (Minor)

-Balance (Very Minor)

This card is a menace. I used his normal card at the start of the game when I didn't have very many coins and it was awesome. I used his first inform when it came out and scored many goals before selling it to try other teams. Then, when I heard he scored four goals and was going to get an inform I knew I was going to buy this card. I waited a few days for the price to come down to around 125k and let me tell you, he has been worth every penny. He is spectacular when used as a target man to control the play. He compliments a faster, weaker, more agile striker (like Mertens) very well. I've thoroughly enjoyed the card and he has performed quite well in divisions.

He can hold the ball well

Wins headers consistently

Has a great shot

Positions himself extremely well (his best characteristic for me)

Good stamina

Good dribbling

Cannot easily outrun defenders

Very good, but he did not convince me
By ParisSki, 15-01-2018

His stats are stellar, better than Icardi SIF and Higuain NIF. Even Higuain IF by some measure looks inferior to Immobile when looking at stats.

But somehow Immobile SIF did not do it for me. He scored goals, to be sure, but he also missed a lot, and for me he did not perform as well, in my team, as Higuain NIF or Immobile SIF.

At first, I thought this was due to the Basic chem, that would not fit him well, so I put Hawk on him to get max shooting stats, super high pace and good physicality. However, I did not get a feel for it. Weirdly, he did not feel pacey for me.

What I liked was his finishing at close range: extremely good. But Icardi SIF with Hawk and Higuain NIF with Hawk have the same clinical finishing in my experiene.

What disappointed me most is his OK but not great performance at long shots. I am a big user of long shots and score plenty of goals this way with Dybala NIF, Gomez NIF and even Berardi Futmas.

In the end, as I already own Higuain NIF, Icardi SIF and Mertens NIF and am not million-FUT-coin rich, and as I often play with one striker only (433). there was no use for me in keeping 100k tied with him, so I sold him and bought Nainggolan with the money. I prefer to use Higuain as the ST in my 433, occasionally running a 442 with Mertens and Icardi SIF (a wonderful pair IMO).

Clinical finishing

Nice positioning: always where you want him to be.

Where is his pace

Long shots not amazing

Inconsistency is key
By Wazzzaaaa, 25-03-2018

Decided to change up my Calcio A squad, and bought SIF Immobile to replace SIF Icardi.

I used him with Hawk chem in a 4-3-3 (4) with IF Perisic on the left and Cuadrado/Callejon on the right, with SIF Sergej, IF Ilicic and Nainggolan behind.

Icardi was solid in front of goal, never missed a shot, but I felt he somehow got a little lost in this formation, because of the way he positions himself.

Immobile on the other hand is great in positioning himself for my play style. Almost always available for a pass on the counter, and making good runs when a cross is imminent.

However.. He misses ridiculously many clear chances. Even great crosses aimed directly at his forehead somehow hits everything besides his forehead. 1v1 he is utter shite and I call total BS on his "clinical finishing" trait. Finesse, driven shots, power shots, power header, downward header, doesn't matter. This man will not finish of a clear chance or 1v1 for me.

He gets bullied of the ball by everyone, even with 86 strength. His dribbling is nothing special, and I find he has a lot of bad first touches.

The 4* weak foot feels like a 1* to me, as he can't even hit the goal from 12 yards with his weaker foot.

He does however score some amazing goals. I find he works best when all odds are against him. With two defenders pushing him to the limit and no clear passage for a pass, he somehow slams a volley with either foot in the back of the net from a poor cross multiple yards behind him. He has the longest legs I've ever seen on a footballer.

The same goes for headers. Where he somehow misses way to many clear chances he shines when you don't really belive he is going to score. He has made Rio, Chiellini and Ramos look like bronze fools with his sometimes (rarely) great positioning, and out of nowhere he can be roaming two heads higher than either of them scoring beautifully placed headers behind whatever goalie.

Hes passing is like hes finishing, a variable force. For most parts, he serves good passes, both short and through balls. Sometimes hes passing even surpasses good, and can maybe be defined as great.

Then you find yourself on a clear counter, Perisic is running down the wing and it's a clear path for Immobiles pass, you press the button for a through ball and can already taste the goal. What happens? The perfectly weighted through ball suddenly becomes a back pass to the other teams CDM or he shoots the pass to a goal kick or throw in.

For me, a striker who can put away the clear chances and is clinical in front of goal is more important than a magical moment subfrequently. Even though SIF Immobile has pretty good stats for me, I find myself getting way to frustrated using him, and I've lost confidence when he is 1v1 with the goalie. This reason alone is enough for me to go back to Icardi, and I can't wait to get alone with keeper and steering in finesse shots with wither foot.

I will miss the occasional magic though..

So long Immobile - you are not the striker we need, and neither the striker we deserve.

  • Great positioning
  • Magical finishing when least expected
  • Can be a game changer
  • Quite speedy for a "Target man" type
  • Hopeless finishing when least expected
  • Can be a game changer (for the worse)
  • Strength feels a lot lower than what stat shows.
  • Inconsistent passing

The Cheap Suarez
By Jamie1Z4, 12-04-2018

When I bought this card, I thought he was going to be a bit rubbish because he was cheap but boy, I was wrong.

Pace: He has 85 pace, that is technically correct. He isn't the fastest striker so if you're facing fast defenders (mostly Icons), he will probably get tackled, but if you don't face Icon defenders, then he shouldn't be a problem as he has the "Tries to beat Defensive Line" trait.

Shooting: Immobile's shooting is outstanding, without a doubt. This guy will score you a goal every game and if he doesn't, he scores two or more in the next. He has scored me 263 goals in only 238 games. This striker wins you games.

Passing: If you like to score sweaty goals, then Immobile's passing might be an issue. His through balls are OK but they can be better.

Dribbling: 85 dribbling is really good on a striker. What makes his dribbling amazing is that he has 88 composure, so he won't be taking massive touches or anything like that.

Defending: Not much to say here as he's a striker.

Physical: Immobile has 81 physical which is decent, considering that his pace is 85. He has 84 jumping, which means he can win headers but if the player challenging for the ball is taller than Immobile, he won't win the ball so keep that in mind. His 77 Stamina shouldn't be an issue has he can play a full 120 minutes and still be fine. His 81 Strength is a worry as he can get pushed off the ball. His aggression hasn't affected me in the 238 games that he played for me.
