A class of his own
By BARIEX, 13-02-2018

After using the 88 version for a short time and the impact he left on me i decided to save for his prime and didn't regret it, he is just amazing in every thing i could score in almost every situation even the ones that i thought impossible,

his pace, pass and dribbling are way better than what they look like even the stamina is not bad at all, sometimes he is the only player standing until the 120th minute

i have never seen such a great shooting, i even try to make it difficult for him but still scores, he can push the strongest defenders like Boateng IF and Benatia IF

he sure doesn't have messi's dribbling or pirlo's pass nor bale's pace but if you know how to use him he will be just fine.

  • Shooting (Just everything)
  • Positioning (always gives you the opportunity to score)
  • 4* weak foot
  • Free-kick & Curve !
  • Strenght
  • Pace (way faster than you think bcz of the positioning)
  • Dribbling
  • Penalty
  • Heading

I feel that the previous review has not done this man justice, that is why I am writing this review. You cannot judge a man after 4 games, I don't feel like I can after 30 games however I feel I have a slightly better idea over such a large investment. After sinking most of my coins into Del Piero SBC and reaping the benefits I had built myself up to 800k and was about to pull the trigger on the Van Basten SBC. As soon as Shevchenko was released I made the impulse decision to do that instead. After 30 games I am happy with my choice. And around 700k (again most of my coins) for such an excellent prime is outstanding. Let me break it down.

Games: 30 Goals: 76 Assist: 11 Chem: Marksman

Stats

Pace: In my opinion he is blistering. Next to Del P he pulls away very fast, and on top of that his strength means once at top speed he is difficult to stop. 8/10

Shooting: This is where I entirely disagree with the previous review. This is why you want Shevchenko, his shot is incredible. Much alike Del P, yet I find Shevchenko to be even more clinical. The shot power is what I think takes him to a next level and the ability to do it with either foot despite only being 4*. He is, for me at least a master of the 1v1, especially with the low driven shot and low driven finesse. 76 goal in 30 games says it all. 10/10

Passing: I would say this element of his attack is poor. His quick, close quarter 1-2's are acceptable but anything more and he will struggle. I rely on Del P to thread it onto the on-running Shevchenko. 6/10

Dribbling: I thought him to be a very competent dribbler. His first touch is divine, on the run he has a curious style of dribbling that I didn't think I would get on with but he seems to have a long touch when sprinting. For Shevchenko this worked in his favour meaning he ran onto the ball and his strength meant he kept it even if a defender got in the way. For me it worked despite it normally not being my dribbling style but take this into consideration as it may not work for some. 9/10

Defending: N/A

Physical: He is a striking menace. He is tall at 6ft and feels a lot stronger than the 79 strength stated. Stamina could be an issue if you were to go into extra time but for 90 minutes is A bully that you wouoldn't want to play against. 9/10

  • Shooting of any-kind will, almost always, result in a goal.
  • Pace is more than sufficient.
  • Dribbling style that suits him as a player.
  • Physicality, both on and off the ball.
  • Passing is poor
  • Stamina if in extra time.
  • Cost, but I don't regret spending practically all my coins.

Andriy Shevchenko, The Eastern Wind
By GoRoman11, 06-03-2018

Andriy Shevchenko. One of the best football players in the real life and my childhood hero, he was awesome playing for dynamo kiev and AC Milan, but it's the same in fifa 18? let's see.

I've used his 88 version at start of fifa, and i kinda liked it since he was scoring goals even without i wanted to, but he was lacking of pace and a bit frustrating to use against great defenders. Something that i thought i would be fixed on his prime version and it is.

Pace: 9/10 - I would rate his pace like that since he's fast, not the fasted player on the field like aubameyang or something like that but people seems to be underrating his pace all the time, he would make the "tank" job in a 2 ST formation, but he's able to play alone too.

Shooting: 10/10 - His shooting... OH MY GOD he has the best long shot I've tested in fifa 18 so far , he's able to score literally from everywhere and a lot of different kind of shoots.

Passing: 8/10 - I mean, you don't want to have him as a CAM since he's the fucking andriy shevchenko so his pass i fine, he can play perfect in 2ST formations and do some great passes and his FK are fucking amazing.

Dribbling: 9/10 - His dribbling is something that I don't matter that much apart from composture (85) which is good, he will not fail from inside the box and when you use him on the run you will not feel him slow or "fat"

Defending: 7/10: - He's an ST so apart of his heading accuracy which is awesome, nothing else to say here

Physicality: 9/10: - Here comes something very important to me and it's his stamina, everyone seems to feel like he got tired around minute 70 and it's FAKE. I'm using him upfront with Prime hernandez and i sub hernandez out always and i never sub off sheva since he's not the ST who will do the long pacey runs, he's the finisher, the one who will be around the box ready to bang that long shot who will make you win, away from that i'm using him with hawk so i didn't felt him weak in any way at all

Work Rates: I felt the need of explaining this apart and it's because some people will be scared of this. sometimes he will go to CAM spot and that could be bad if you don't have a team who support this. I paired him with Prime hernandez (ST) and SIF Giuliano (CAM 86) which are 2 players which are always in the right spot so seeing sheva running to the midfield to try to steal some balls or put pressure on the rival wasn't bad at all. since he was adding extra pressure to the rival.

Overall Rating: 9,5/10 - Even when i liked him in every single aspect i can't give him a 10 when there is a lot of other ST (a lot more expensive yes) better than him like R9 etc but IMO if you know how to use him, he's amazing and worth every single coin.

Best striker ever

I only used him for 11 games but i absolutely love him. He is the best striker i used entire game. H/H work rate would seem as a problem but he covers it with positioning.

Prime Shevy
By Kierant863, 13-02-2018

I did the SBC for Shevchenko for about 600k and with players in my cllub. I was previously playing SIF Wilson at ST in my main team with prime Bergkamp behind him at CAM and although Wilson was very good and had a positive goals to game ratio something was still missing. He was small and I felt sometimes his shooting was a bit off espeically outside the box. So when Shevchenko came out I had to get him.

He made an instant inpact in his first game scoring 4 goals on his debut. I was a bit worried about his High-High WR but it doesn't seem like it effects him, he makes excellent runs inbehind and pulls away from most defenders with ease and his finishing is next level! Inside or outside the box on either foot or on his head he will finish it.

His passing isn't the best but you don't expect him to make amazing passes, he can do the LB A pass and make a good run in behind which is all you need him to do.

He has very high dribbling stats too which are very useful in and around the box, his close control allows you to move around defenders easily to get that perfect angel for a low driven or a finesse shot into the top bag.

All in all if you're looking for a good clinical striker that will link to anyone as a Prime Icon and don't want to spend millions Shevchenko is your man. I would reccommend you have very good passers behind him though to make the most of the runs he makes but 100% at least try him loan before getting him. He is defo worth it.
