When I won it in the WL award pack I thought I was not a good keeper for my team, because I already used Handanovic, but I decided to give it a try and use it. It was a pleasant surprise, because Szcesny is excellent! It's a good height and it's a wall! I ended up selling Handanovic without fear.
This past weekend I was off to a rough start in FUT Champs, typically I finish Gold 1 or Elite 3, I lost three consecutive games due to Handanovic's distribution mistakes, poor ball control, and horrible misjudgments when the AI pulls him out of the goal to catch a cross. So I made a drastic decision and sold him to buy this IF Szczecny card for the same price, and my god did it save me. In the remaining 23 games I had to play, he managed to keep clean sheets in 12 of those games and pull out incredible stops whenever he was called upon. His height and distribution ability where literally head and shoulders above Handanovic's. Seeing how Juventus has easily the best back four and GK lineup so far this FIFA it's a no brainer to pick him up because you can build a strong link upgraded Juventus back line like I did then do any sort of hybrid you want in the midfield and attack. (My back four was IF Alex Sandro, Benatia, Bonucci, and OTW Cancelo)
Team/League link up
Height- he won't lose aerial duels like Handanovic or most keepers have been in the game so far, and he spreads himself well in 1 on 1 situations
Reflexes- He is great with close encounters and rarely concedes when things get crazy in the 18yard box
Positioning- I have yet to concede a random longshot in the 23 games I've played with, his height and positioning are perfect, and I haven't had any issues with the AI pulling him out of the net at the wrong time.
Distribution- Unlike Handanovic, he will pass the ball when you want it to go without having to pray that your player can save the ball before it goes out of bounds or into the middle of the field when you clearly aimed toward the wings.
The only con is that like most keepers he will concede back post headers because he isn't quick enough to change his position when the cross floats over the box.
NEVER do reviews, I honestly don't see the point - until i bought this BEAST. I only bought him for his links with Juve defenders , but out of the players in my team he has been my absolute saviour - He dosen't just save 1 on 1 chances, He catches them 90% of the time, and in that 10% chance that he parries his shot it will be away safely out for a corner or throw-in, not straight into the path of a striker to bury it into the net from 2 yards out. Oh, and talking of corners, none of that B.S stick a 6ft 9' guy at front post works against him, I'm almost certain I haven't conceded a corner with this guy between the sticks! Good at penalties too by the way...
