When i needed to get assists for the Declan Rice objective i tried Future Stars Calvert-Lewin and Kane as CAMs but when they failed miserably i called upon Maddison and i was amazed. There is something about him on the ball where he feels amazing and his passing and shooting are immense with a deadeye. IMO if you are looking for a Premier League CAM for less than 100k this guy is your best bet!
When I first saw Maddison´s card, I knew straight away that ir would eventually come off ir my PL TOTS SBC. It did. I got really upset, because I have a 91 rated FUT Champs Eriksen. So I kinda decided to give him a shot at ST position (weird I know). But I must confess, it is absolutely great. Pure magic. He may not be that quick, or that strong, but he is a great shooter and a terrific playmaker. Used him in this WL and he got me 26 goals and 10 assists in 35 matches. Using him as a ST provided me the chance of creating dangerous opportunities in front of goal much easier than a CAM player does. I am currently using him with a HAWK, in order to boost some of his physical stats ans pace as well. Shooting really impressed me. Long shots are good, finesse shots are good, volleys are good, and 98 shot power is STUNNING. Agillity is very good, as he fells much quicker with this 96 stat.
Shooting, (finesse is the best)
Passing is very good, barely misses a pass, long or short
I too, felt shafted when I received the Leicester man in my guaranteed pack.
But then I thought about why I play FIFA. It's not to spam La Croquetas and El Tornados, I play it because I like having fun blasting shots from wherever I want and not caring if I'm winning by 9-0 or down 6-10 (An actual result I had this weekend league).
I BEG that you try him out and don't disregard him. 9 goals in 9 games D4 Rivals. Maybe I'm on a lucky streak, but I love his passing ability and his hits from out of the box are comparable to R9 and Nedved. He could slot in any team that isn't already full TOTY or icon, and I suggest that you try him out for a non-sweaty, fun Fifa experience.
Passing is immaculate. (I suggest a Catalyst chem style to speed him up and shore up all faulty passing stats).
Shooting from out of the box is legendary. The frame shakes with his power.
Speed is more than enough if you like a lot of passing in your game, but if you play counterratack I'd suggest a pace boost chem style.
Feels agile and finds space in the middle of the park most of the time.
Stamina is not incredible, not unusable by any means though.
A little restrictive on counterratacking play, you may find yourself a man down in the final third towards the final 20 minutes of the game.
Defensively, makes an adequate amount of interceptions but not enough to warrant playing holding midfielder. (If you play him at CM, make sure you have defensive midfielders in your team too).
