As far as silvers go, he must be one of the best CDMs you can find. His stats are well rounded enough where he could probably play CM or even CAM, but his skill set and work rates suits the CDM role the best.
Pace: His pace is already pretty solid for a CDM, and I use an anchor to get a a little extra boost as well. I tell him to stay back while attacking, so his running is mostly recovery runs to get to attackers, and 75 pace tends to be enough to get the job done.
Shooting: I never really let him get into shooting positions because I want him to stay back to prevent counterattacks, however when he does get on the edge of the box he has a nice little long shot on him, although not all that special.
Passing: Plays nice little quick passes out from the back. Gets the ball from either the CBs or from interceptions and is able to get the ball moving forward quickly. The long passing is alright, often on target, but too lofty leading to it being intercepted; same goes for his crosses. If you're keeping the ball on the ground, you'll have no problems.
Dribbling: It's quite refreshing to have a CDM who can actually dribble the ball with ease. Keeps the ball nice and tight, and turns well. When receiving the ball from the CBs, he is able to either make a tight turn and lay off a quick pass, or make a quick move and start taking the ball up the field himself. Combine this with his pace and strength, he's pretty difficult to push off the ball.
Defending: Absolutely superb defensively. The interceptions in particular are spectacular, averaging around 5 a match over my last few games; he always seems to be in the right spot. Tackles extremely well too. If he's going shoulder to shoulder, more likely than not he will win the ball (although that may also have to do with his strength/aggression in addition to his stand tackling). Pretty good in the air too, with decent size in the midfield at 6'.
Physical: Outstanding for a midfielder. He's able to use his size and strength effectively to both protect and win the ball. He goes in hard for every challenge whether its in the air, on the ground, or shoulder to shoulder. Gets up high to beat almost every opposing midfielder to headers. Stamina is excellent, especially if you're telling him to stay back while attacking.
A silver gem at CDM, with well rounded stats that make him a bit more of a threat than many others at the position. He will play hard for the whole game and dominate the middle of the field distributing passes and clogging up the passing lanes. Unfortunately now he's a bit expensive because of the Huddersfield SBC (3,000 when I'm writing this). If you're able to get him for a reasonable price (I got him for 750 a while back), he is worth a try for either a silver or USA team. In an American team (like I use Williams in), he works well alongside Adams and Acosta, particularly in the middle of them because the work rates allow for a good balance.

Doesn't get into attacking positions, but his shots aren't great anyway
