I decided I wanted to make my La Liga team into a La Liga / Serie A hybrid, but I needed someone who would connect with Gimenez and Oblak, so I made the bold move of switching to 5-3-2 formation with Baresi as the central CB and Barzagli on the right with OTW Cancelo as RWB. Thanks to the new adaptable formation change when you switch into Attacking in-game, I was able to put this small 5'9" CB at CDM in a 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow and be a rock solid CDM without having to pause the game and switch into a more favorable formation. He holds down the fort and is great at passing.
- Interceptions- he's a lot like Kante, he's not very tall or extremely quick, but has enough pace and positioning to snuff out any danger anywhere on the pitch.
- Defending- if you have CB's like Ramos who make a ton of attacking runs throughout the game, Baresi is great at covering the position until your CB returns. His standing tackle wins the ball 9/10 times
- Pace- even with an anchor chem style his pace feels unreal compared to what you typically expect from someone with around 75 Pace
- Passing- I picked Baresi over other icon CBs because his passing range is no different from a top-class midfielder like Modric or Kroos.
- Composure- Unlike most defenders, he doesn't lose his cool when he is under pressure moving the ball out from the back
- Stamina- will easily last you the whole game running from box-to-box for four games back to back
- Shooting- just don't shoot simple as that, pass the ball and make sure Baresi gets back in his position
- Agility- he turns like a truck for someone who is 5'9", so don't try to turn around and pass the ball with someone on him
