88 - Icon
This card might have been a decent option back when it was less than or around 500k. Now at 600k -700k, it isn't as cost-effective as it once was.
88 Keane was a solid CDM, but was not nearly as good as Kante, Nainggolan, or Casemiro, all of which cost much less.
Besides its ability to link with anyone, there are simply too many better options now to justify sinking 700k on this card.
I wouldn't recommend this card for 700k.
- Passing: unless you force him to, he will rarely make passing errors.
- Stamina: he's good for 90 mins.
- Interception: he does intercept well, but again cheaper alternatives did just as well, if not better.
- Height: his field coverage is not nearly as good as that of Kante or Nainggolan, yet he's not tall or strong enough to be a lone CDM. He rarely won headers for me and this was problematic for me against someone who loves to cross all the time.
- Strength: he just wasn't strong enough to assert a physical presence in the lower 1/3 like Casemiro does. Again, this wouldn't be so problematic if he was more of an active defender who's everywhere, but that wasn't the case.
- Pace: he felt a bit slower than what his pace stats'd indicate. he wasn't able to catch up to fast attackers once they get past him.
- Shooting: purposefully took long shots with him, but was very rarely successful in scoring.
- Nation: you will never get any strong link due to his nationality, which lessens its linking advantage a bit.
