Best defender in the game

VVD 96 is and will remain the best defender of the game, he has the strength of Campbell and the class of a Maldini, this card is simply cheated. Now the question is, should you do his SBC?

Don't be fooled by people telling his TOTS card will be better and tradable. First of all, put him a shadow and look at the stats, this card can't get any better. Second, sure it's untradable, but what would you trade it for? He is the best. I made the Gullit 93 SBC because I know it's an end-game player for me as I will never be able to afford the 94 version, same for VVD 96.

Another reason you might want to do it, is if you have an untradable VVD already. Maybe it's unnecessary as you won't feel the difference if you have the birthday or TOTY card as untradable, but if you have any other card just go with it. I had the 91 card from the FUT champs rewards, I burnt it in the liverpool squad challenge and never looked back, the 96 version is just from another planet.

This SBC costed me 700k (without counting the packs which I didn't open yet), and Maldini costs 2 millions?! VVD 96 SBC is definitely a great deal.

fast, through ball to Aubameyang? Van Dijk 96 will start a sprint from the middle of the pitch and get him off the ball as if it were a child.
strong, I haven't played against Ibra flashback yet but from what I've seen so far I'm pretty sure of the outcome if he gets too close to VVD 96.
passing and dribbling, when he intercepts the ball he can confidently continue his run until the middle of the pitch and make clean passes if you want a quick counter-attack, he is really comfortable with the ball. He feels like a Gerrard or Lampard.
jumping, I haven't scored any goal with him yet, but yeah, 99 jumping. I'm not a corner kick or tornado-cross specialist but I'm happy that VVD 96 can be helpful against such people, and hopefully score me some corner kicks from time to time.

opponents rage-quiting at 0-0 in WL, either when they see him in my team or when they realize VVD 96 isn't going to let them score today, and it doesn't count me as a win...
the card is cheated, this card won't help you improving your defending skills, just press the jokey button and any opponent getting in a 2 meters radius will inevitably loose the ball. Used to select your defenders with the right stick to get in front of the striker and intercept the ball? Not needed anymore, VVD 96 will do all these by himself.
stamina could have been better to make this card fantastic, but honestly I think stamina is not critical for a CB, I play him next to baby Ferdinand which only has 78 stamina and never had issue with it. My midfielders baby Ronaldinho and baby Ballack get tired much quicker than my CBs.

I mean, where should i start this? This man with shadow is just the best cb ever (i play him in 250k prem squad with potm hazard and lucas in). I had 150k and i were thinking that should i go for vvd or walker, and i went for vvd, and oh boy, this guy is an absolute rock as cb, he's way better than umtiti for example. You don't need any other defenders

Need a wall for your team? This is your guy. When I first saw this card I wasn't sure if he would be a good choice right before TOTS but honestly, him next to my 93 cannavaro and I feel so comfortable in defense. honestly, he is 100% worth the price and will make your team so much better. Just like in real life, he will completely revitalize your defense.
