I used him in a 4-2-3-1 as a central CAM and he was pretty good for me. If you do the timed finishes right, every single finesse-shot from like 20 m goes in, with his weak foot still every second or something like that. His pace is ok for running past midfielders but you obviously cant outpace defenders like Ramos or Kimpembe. His strenght also is very good when it comes to saving the ball with the back to the goal but of course he can not win physical duals against defensive players. His passing is awesome, I cant remember ond bad pass, where I did not do the mistake myself. Also his dribbling is outstanding, you can f... the defenders with his quick moves.
A bit late to writing this review as im not using Fekir anymore but it certainly makes sense to do so as i know what life without him is like now. i used him in a 184 squad at CAM which had cavani as a super sub (chem reasons). i picked up 18 wins and 19 wins the 2 weekends i used him in this team. i now pick up 21-22 wins without him in a team which only has 3 significant player changes ( https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/1042655 ) to the team fekir was in, so i'm playing more difficult opponents and coming out with more wins without him.
Fekir is a strange card to put it simply. Looking at his stats, you'd think nothing could go wrong when using him as a competent player. I truly thought he was one of the cheap gems i could get by using for a very long time this year and upgrade around him until nothing else needed fixing. the irony turned out being he was the first problem!
I'll start with his good points as he isnt a terrible player which isnt what i want people to think. He's just not as good or easy to use as his stats will make you believe, so hopefully i save a few people coins or expectation.
Fekir's passing is incredible, most notably on his left foot, i played hime with a hunter chem style so no passing stat was boosted however his vision always picked the correct player and pass type, his flare trait comes in really handy as he flicks the ball just out of reach of a defender so often when doing a short range pass under pressure even with his right foot too,
id just avoid crucial long passes with his right foot. he will find the player but might not have the finesse to send that player clean through if its a tricky pass.
His finishing his also fantastic, he cant strike a 1st time ball with deadly accuracy even without using timed finishing, speaking of which always finesse with him at top of the box. his shot power without finesse shots seems a bit low so certainly sick to finessing. also he has great shielding and strength when receiving passes
Now the cons, Pace. he cant get away from any body!! this is fine in the midfield where he can turn out of a tight spot and use an excellent pass. but dont think about running more than 10 yards because he will get caught, his good dribbling stats also only seem to work when you jog with him on the ball. as soon as you sprint its difficult to change direction he just feels heavy. also as a cam this year its quite important to ben an aerial threat, whether its long ball from the gk or little LT + x flicks over players looking to cut out options to continue a fast attack. Fekir cant win those battles or the heading accuracy to make it worth it.
long story short, it feels easier to run at speed with Lewandowski (reasonable) but FRED than it does with Fekir, maybe +2 reactions and +1 sprint speed are insanely important or the card is slightly bugged idk.
- Passing accuracy and flair
- finesse shots
- 1st touch and shielding
- close dribbling
- heading accuracy
- knocked off the ball easily when running
- cant change direction at speed
- always low stamina by 70 minute i dont use pressure either)
