Cheap little machine!
By SpaghettiCreme, 11-01-2019

he is a cheap little beast

I sold my ben yedder in purpose for the team of the year (for now, i could not get one) and yeah i was searching for a great alternative to grind division rivals and weekend league to buy him later again

Ben „Fortunate Son“ Yedder is the greatest striker i have ever played in this (and last years) game and as you know me already, wrote an review about him

Now the question is: why him?

I saw this card and thought ok, give him a try and he is very OK!

Shooting is very great ( but not like the yoda guy)

I Played like 22 games now and i think 17 goals are pretty ok or? :D

Pace is ok, not yoda ehm i mean yedder like!

Passing is terrible ok?

Dribbling is not the best but he has 4 star skills... this makes him ok ! i dont know but i think this is more a players thing than the card ( i mean: it could be my playstyle, really. everyone outthere should have is own playstyle, this card could be worst on you, this card could be the best card u have ever used, everything is possible in this game)

Positioning is very great like ben yedder he is almost every time standing right and with a good press you shold press only the b button once at xbox and he is very often in the goal the ball

Stamina is not so great

BUT the great thing is.. he is a live card, he can get even better

and if he i does not use him as a sub, i will do the same thing when i get my ben yedder again :D

Worth the investment

In my opinion, if you're looking for a top-class finisher, you should go for this guy. When I bought him, I was unsure if he would perform because his NIF was terrible for me, but he proved me wrong.I was very impressed by him in the 19 games I used him in. He may not be as fast or agile as Ben Yedder, but he always gets the job done for me. The good thing is that he's 24k at the time of writing, compared to RTTF Ben Yedder, who's 335k, so you can get him for a relatively cheap price

Finishing

Decent pace

Composure (I used a Sniper on him)

Heading

4* skills + weak foot combo

Will be upgraded if Villarreal beat Sporting in the UEL Round of 32

Agility

Might become worthless if Sporting beat Villarreal in the UEL Round of 32

86 Moreno
By mdlibrandi, 03-02-2019

I figured I would buy him because he was pretty cheap at the time (18,500) and looked decent enough. I normally like playing with one quick/agile striker and one bigger one who can head the ball, so I figured I would try him in the latter role playing with Griezmann (with Aspas at CAM).

Pace: I put a hawk on him to get him up to a solid 86 pace. While its obviously not spectacular, it is more than enough for the way I play with him; with a very fast striker next to him. If you're looking for someone to get in behind there are definitely better options.

Shooting: I find his shooting to be good, but not spectacular. He gets into very good positions, but I feel as though he doesn't always put the ball away like he should. Maybe with a different chemistry style to further boost his finishing it would be better. He makes nice runs so that even if I don't get him the ball, he has opened up places for the other attackers to run into. 4 star weakfoot tends to be consistent, although not as powerful as his left foot.

Passing: The way I play requires a big striker to be a good passer, and Moreno is definitely that (even though I wish he were taller). I use him to hold up the ball and either lay it off to Aspas running in from CAM or get the ball over to Griezmann to actually put the ball away. His combination play with Aspas is great; although I have 27 assists in 33 games with Moreno, it could easily be more if you counted the balls Moreno gets to Aspas who sets up an easy Griezmann shot.

Dribbling: He feels a little clunky on the ball when you're trying to dribble with him. His ball control is very, very good though, so I can play strong passes into his feet, chest, or head and he will either control it or lay it off perfectly.

Defending: He contributes on defense, particularly intercepting a fair few passes. With 85 heading, its as good as you would expect it to be. Any clear cut header he will put into the back of the net, regardless of where he is in the box. The only downside is that he doesn't always contest well for headers which may be a combination of being only 5'11' and his not spectacular physical stats.

Physical: The physicality is a bit of a letdown compared to what I expected. I saw he had great heading so I thought he would get to a lot of balls, but because his jumping is only 86 (with hawk) and his aggression is still low, he often doesn't get to the balls you would hope he would. His strength is pretty solid, but don't expect him to outmuscle every CB, although he consistently pushes fullbacks off the ball.

Overall, he is a very solid card, but not really an elite striker. That said, for the price, and the upgrade potential, he is definitely worth the minor investment. With another upgrade or two, He will probably be a very clinical finisher and have even more usable pace and/or physicality. I don't think I would play him alone up top, because I find that his strength lies in the combination plays with other attackers. I have recently replaced him with 87 Benzema, and they feel pretty similar, although Benzema is much better physically and significantly more expensive.

Great for the Price
By jabru, 07-05-2019

I bought him because he was an 88 overall that was cheap and had fairly good stats. Ended up getting him for around 40k. Played about 40 or so games before I moved on from him mostly in 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1. He his play in and around the box was quite good. Shooting, heading, and finishing were all solid. However, he felt a bit clunky when moving around the pitch, doesn't give you much in terms of playmaking ability, especially if you get the ball further back on the pitch. When playing in formations with 1 striker he was frankly quite terrible and unable to make any runs as his pace and strength are both average. Couldn't outrun faster defenders and couldn't outpower stronger defenders. In playing in formations with 2 strikers, he was much more effective and was very good playing off another striker. Overall, if you can provide him with good support he can be very effective, but don't expect to play him alone up top and have him make plays for you. Great value at 40k but I much preferred Inaki Williams TOTW2 and UEL Rodrigo much more if you have the coins.
