A cheat code
By ColinHarlin, 08-10-2018

He can score from wherever and whenever he wants. He makes his own opportunities and spaces to shoot and can outpace defenders on through balls. His finesse can curl in from anywhere and the 5-star weak foot makes it so you don't have to pay attention while shooting. If you put players around him that can give him the ball within 30 yards of goal you will score atleast 2 a game with Emilio. This card is one of the most easy and overpowered strikers ive ever used since he has everything you would want in a striker.

Emilio ''El Buitre'' Butragueno
By JMM693, 14-12-2018

After playing about 600 games with OTW Ronaldo, i decided to sell him for good profit and try new players in my team. After searching for a replacement for him Butragueno came against me in the fut champs. My opponent scored 4 finesse shots against me with him so i went (after rage quitting the game) and bought this card to my team. That was one of the best decisions i have made in FIFA.

Lets start with PACE

Just by looking this card (95 acc. 93 sp), you know he is lightning fast. He is able to outpace CB:s quite easily which is really impressive in FIFA 19. There are not many players that can outran almost any CB. Thanks to his awesome dribbling stats, he can keep the pace even with ball in his foot. He felt like the fastest player i have used this year. I don't know if its the fact he is so small, but good god he is rapid.

SHOOTING

Oh boy, his shooting... Thanks to EA sports, finesse shots are stupid good in FIFA 19 like we all know. But somehow, Butraguenos finesse shots are next-level. I'd say 8-9 out of 10 find back of the net. The curve he has in his finesses is just ridiculous. 5* wf means he can shoot exactly the same with both of his feet, and that my bros is the biggest Pro with this card. When you are inside 25m range, he is just deadly. It doesn't matter on which foot you take the shot with, it is always perfection. One thing Butragueno has that many other players lack of is his regular shots (normal shot with O). Like for example when he is through against the keeper and you take a regular shot, shape of his shot is amazing. Its like ''banana curve'' facing ground. It goes up and looks like its going over the bar, but halfway it dips like hell and goes in. Try him out and you'll see what i mean.

PASSING

He can pass the ball. Now, if you use him as a CAM, his long passing can be a problem. Playing him as a ST, i didn't feel any problems with passing, probably thanks to his good short passing stat. He is not a playmaker so keep that in mind if you use him somewhere else than in ST position. Overall, his passing is good and won't cause you any major trouble.

DRIBBLING

One word, Amazing. His dribbling is probably the best i have experienced this year. When he moves, ball stays always very close to his body and it is so hard to your opponents to take it away from him. No matter what you do, ball is almost like glued to his foot. You can do very quick turns and spins that create a lot of room to operate with him. There is not a single bad word when it comes to his dribbling. Only thing that would make it even better would be 4* skills but other than that, it is perfect.

DEFENDING

What do you except from 5'6ft striker defending wise..? Exactly, nothing. And that is what you get.

PHYSICAL

Now to the biggest con of this card. Being 5'6 and having 70 strength with marksman, you have to admit that he is weak. He's not like insigne weak, but quite close to be honest. He will get bullied by CB:s when you are shoulder to shoulder with them. Now you can get away from that with his pace & dribbling, but strength is an issue with him. Heading is also very hard with him. When you cross the ball, CB:s must be out of position or otherwise he won't win you a single header. When he gets an opportunity to head the ball, it is actually very good, but these opportunities don't come too often. 84 stamina also keeps him going al game long.

OVERALL

The big question here to me was that is he better than CR7 ? Well i have to say, yes and no. Overall, CR7 is better because he is complete striker. His pace, shooting and heading combined with his strength and the fact he is 6'2 make him better than butragueno. But where butra beats him are Pace and Shooting. He is faster for sure and it makes a big difference although many say that pace don't matter. It does and you'll see when you get to use Butragueno. And shooting like i said felt better than CR7. 5*wf means he has stunning shooting with both of his feet and scoring becomes very easy with this card. For my playstyle (Lot of passes and shots, not that many crosses) Butragueno was superb and i enjoyed him more than anyone else i have tried this year.

For an overall rating, i'd give him 9.4/10 (10 being players like prime ronaldo or prime Gullit)

Favorite Striker
By SimiForward, 11-01-2019

He is really a great Player. I used most of the common or best strikers (Mbappe, CR7, Raul, All BPL Strikers) but really love him the most. He is pretty small but therefore very agile and quick. His walking routes combined with his shooting make him one of my most influential players among the last years.

I would recommend to combine him with another striker because it opes a lot of space for him and he knows how to use it. Also i would recommend to use marksman.

Probably the best card I've ever used
By BenniZ27, 04-03-2019

So I packed Navas from a free untradeablke 125k pack. I already had him untradeable, so I either had to use him for an SBC or discard him. I know I could have just left him unassigned, but as I can't open packs while having unassigned items, I couldn't use BPM until I either discarded him or gave him away. Being unhappy with my 89 Sterling anyways, I decided to get Butragueno, after only reading good things about him. And here we are.

So Butragueno is probably the best card I've ever used since I've started playing FIFA. Why? Because he can shoot from literally anywhere and it will result in a dangerous shot or goal.

This guy is just phenomenal. 94 pace is an absolute lie, it basically feels like 99 with his Height and Agility.

What impressed me the most was shooting. I mostly end up with him in 1v1 situations, I only have to make a green timed finish and the ball will go top bins with 100 miles an hour. Absolutely no chance of saving the ball, no matter who the GK is.

Also in other situations, this guy is deadly. Just be in or around the box, and you can shoot from basically anywhere. 5 star weak foot is helping a lot.

Physical-wise, big boy Butra is not really good. Heading is nearly impossible, also he has probably never seen a gym in his entire life. But that doesn't matter as you can easily learn how to dodge these situations by using his insane Pace and Agility.

His 3 star skills barely matter. I thought they would, but they don't. Ball rolls are enough, really.

BUTRA THE GOD!!
By javicapii17, 11-03-2019

Here we go. When I start the game, I change to a 41212 with MBappé and Butra up front, with Hazard as a CAM (ignore that Eriksen, I packed him and I decided to use him as a CM but he is bad, I will replace him when I have the coins). So, pairing Butra with those two was a fucking great decision. Previously, I was using Arnautovic Headliner as a ST in a 4231 formation and OMG the difference. Butragueño's finishing is insane. He can finish from everywhere on the pitch and with any type of shot, it can be driven shot, finesse, power shot... It is just insane. He can continuously bang the ball into the top corner without any effort. He is just really fast and, if you can keep the space between the defender, he won't catch you up, but when he gets bodied, he can be easily pushed off the ball because his low strength and height. Also, I found really enjoyable that he was constantly making runs. MBappe and Hazard made a lot of assists because he just needed to run and you just have to make a through pass. And his dribbling. OH MY! At first, I thought that not having 4 star skills would kill him, but he just doesn't need them. He can dribble past the defence with a lot of ease and his turns are fucking amazing. If he gets a free header he scores everytime because he has a lot of jumping and great heading accuracy. He is the best player I have used this year without a doubt, he feels reeeeally special. I did the SBC for less than 500k because I had a lot of untradeables and Nakata as well. Nevertheless, he is worthed the 1 million coins he is now and believe me, this man will change your game if you learn how to use him.

  • Speed: He feels really fast due to his dribbling and height.
  • Shooting: He finishes EVERYTHING I just love him
  • Dribbling: He dribbles like Messi in real life, it's just insane
  • Passing: His passing is actually really good because of his vision so don't be afraid to risk passes with him
  • 5 STAR WEAK FOOT: OMG just knowing you can shoot with both legs without a problem makes him unstoppable
  • Attacking positioning: He makes insane runs
  • Strength: He is obviously weak and easily pushed off the ball, so use his SPEED AND DRIBBLING!
  • Height: He is really short but that can be a pro also if you like this type of players
  • 3 star skills: If he had 4 star skills it would have broken the game so it's fair that they put him just 3*
