O captain my captain. I honestly only bought this guy because he is my idol. From the header at the Bernabeu to letting Eric Abidal lift the Champions League in 2011, how can you not love this guy? I first tried his prime card and honestly didn't like it at all, he just felt very weak for some reason. I then bought this one and man o man is it better. With this card you have more physicality and pace than his prime card with only -1 defending but with an anchor chem style he gets boosted to 99 interceptions, heading accuracy, marking, stand tackle and slide tackle! He also gets 98 jumping, 97 strength and 99 aggression. Defensively he is perfect and never puts a foot wrong. He has a tendency to stay back at corners but when he gets forward fro them he is a huge presence and not even Ramos can stop him! You might think that he is too short at 178cm but his jumping is so good you honestly will not notice. The biggest issue I have with Puyol is that he is poor on the ball which is annoying because he came through Barcelona's youth academy, played under Pep Guardiola at Barca's peak and played for peak tiki taka Spain.

So, I will start with telling you that I am not the best FIFA player, mostly I achieved gold 3 in WL. I started the WL this Friday with a 4-6 win / loss. I played with inform Sakho and Baresi but Sakho was not good. I decided to buy my favorite FC Barcelona player ever, Carles Puyol Saforcada. But boy o boy, he is the best defender in the game. He is simply amazing, it feels like Puyol and Baresi are brothers. They do everything perfectly. When Baresi makes an error, Puyol fix it. When Puyol makes an error, Baresi fix it. With Puyol in my squad, I went from 4-6 on Friday to 9-1 on Saturday. Thanks to the fair-play legend.
- Pace: I gave a shadow chemistry style to Puyol so that his pace is 84. You really noticed that in-game. He feels really fast and he can follow players as Aubameyang and Neymar.
- Defending / physical: He can do everything as a defender. He can jump very high, he is powerful, he has an amazing tackle, he has good positioning, everything you want.
- Passing: He is not Rui Costa or Gullit but his passing is good, he can give short and long passes as Kroos or Modric for example.
- Stamina: He runs the whole match because he has the stamina for it. Amazing!
- Dribble: His not an Ronaldinho who can do everything with the ball. Don't do special dribbles with him because he will lose the ball.
I'll make it short. I've had a lot of Icons in my defence but none has been as good as Puyol. I've had Prime, Middle and few baby icons, big, small, slow, fast and then there's Puyol. He is no tall man, he isn't fast or agile but I can say he is the defender I have noticed the most i my defence. Holy moly he does an amazing job. His tackling is aggressive but on point, so no stupid CPU tackles which result in a penalty or worse, red card. 1v1 against tall players no problem, his aggression and high jump makes him win headers against Lukaku and others.
What can say, he plays like he did en real life. He intercepts everything near him, reads the pass before your opponent makes it. I can't say how good he is!

You have to kick the ball away when he steals it from the opponent or he'll loose it again due to his bad passing and agility (he can't maneuver about in tight spaces).
