So this year I told myself I would take Ultimate Team easy. Last year I wanted Ronaldo (R9) so bad that I was ready to sell my wallet in packs and I did but with probably the worst pack luck you can have... I never packed anything worth more than 150k so I promised myself I wouldn't do it again this year.
I won't lie, I couldn't ressist to open 2 or 3 packs when I saw the Halloween cards and what was my surprise when I packed Neymar in a 15k pack !!!! Couldn't believe my eyes, probably my favourite player IRL and I pack him in the 5th pack I open this year :D
Anyway, I have him in my squad since and he scored me 95 goals and 38 assist in 85 games so far. I play him in the CF position in a 4-4-1-1 formation where I think you will get the best of him.
I tryed deadeye on him but finally went back to basic cause he feels better like that.
He is very quick, his dribbling is up there with Messi and Hazard probably, his finess, long shot, freekick and finishing are amazing, he is so versatile you can't go wrong with him.
And don't forget the 5* Skills AND Weak Foot.
There is only one thing that annoys me, it's when you want to finess shot with is left foot, he almost always uses his right one eventhough he has 5* WF and no "avoid weaker foot" trait... That is really annoying.
I won't talk about his strenght since it's pretty obvious he's not but he's so agile you can easily avoid contact.
If you have the coins, you won't regret it.
My advice is to not force play with him, you don't need to 'cause he'll be were you need him to be ;)

After packing Aubameyang I had enough coins to buy this guy and trust me, he´s a machine! Ingame I always play him as a left ST in a 4-1-2-1-2, so he has a bigger impact on the game in my squad. He dribbels and skills like nobody else in the game, his pace his decent and his shooting and passing is in the 90s too with the Deadeye Chemistry style. If he had strength, he would be a complete striker, but he unfortunately hasn´t... Nevertheless I enjoy this card very much because it´s just fun to skill with such a agile player like Neymar. For about 600k you wont find a better player than him!

Neymar is one of the top rated players of FIFA 19, and for good reason. His base stats are phenomenal, with incredible pace and dribbling, as well as shooting and passing that are exceptional. Neymar also possesses the rare combination of 5* skills and 5* weak foot, which only adds to how lethal he is. Prior to using Neymar, my squads were typically Serie A or premier league, using players such as mertens, Dybala, inform insigne, sane, mane, salah, aguero, etc. Although I thought that dybala was an excellent player and that salah and mane were very good, I actually enjoyed using inform insigne the most. He had a combination of pace and dribbling that just made him feel so sharp and quick, and he also seemed to finish a majority of shots he attempted, whether it was a finesse shot or a finish in the box.
However, Neymar is even better than that card. His dribbling feels sharper, and although his pace is limited by the meta imposed by FIFA he still feels very quick. Additionally, Neymar has far greater shooting, and seems to bury chances whether it be by smashing in a goal or finishing from close range. Neymar is an incredible player, and is the best one that I have used thus far. Neymar is better than mbappe, and is worth the coin difference that exists between the two. I would recommend buying him at any opportunity you have, especially with an impending black friday market fluctuation and packs.
I am a d3/d2 division rivals FIFA player hovering around 2100/2200 skill rating. I utilize timed finishing but am not much of a skiller. Neymar is good enough to shine even against huge teams that include legends and most of the top gold players. I use him as a St (LF) in a 4-2-2 alongside inform cavani (see squad), with a hunter chem style (however a deadeye would also be good).
- Shooting- Shots with power as well as finesse shots find the net from almost any distance. Also has 5* weak foot which is big
- Dribbling- Dribbles incredibly quickly and precisely and has 5* skills. Exceptionally gifted dribbler
- Pace- Quick in a game where pace is hard to find
- Passing- Gets a lot of assists, just a dangerous presence
- Overall just a huge game changer who can score and assist in any game situation
- Physically can get muscled off the ball, but that is obviously going to occur with players like Neymar
- Has a large price tag, but I think he is good enough to justify spending the coins
- Not really a LW, strives in a central role. Still serves a purpose out wide, but feels wasted
I have used Neymar for 266 games, he has scored 374 goals and 184 assists (mostly weekend league and division 2 & 3 online matches) and believe me when I tell you this, he is the definition of a game changer. Before you continue reading this review, if you're second guessing buying him just go do it already!! Well, if you can afford him. I got him for 594k during the black Friday and he is worth every single penny.
This man can score a goal without facing the goal. I use him as my striker in a 4231 formation because he can shoot comfortably with either foot so it doesn't matter what angle you're at, simply just shoot. Neymar has one of the best finesse shots in the game and it becomes more overpowered if you use timed finishing. His composure and finishing in front of goal is just incredible, this man barely misses, and even when he does I believe thats just EA tryna make him a bit more realistic.
He is very similar to the icon Cruyff, his movement is second to none and has ability to escape tight situations where other players would've either fallen down or lost the ball. If you are a skiller type of player I need not explain to you why you need this man.
His passing is just a bit above average, he often can pick out long passes and cross the ball very well, but I do not focus on this aspect of his play. He is fast enough for any attacking role you have in mind for him, I use a Deadeye chem style on him which improves his shooting and passing because I didn't feel the need to increase his speed further.
He also does not run out of stamina often unless you use some sort of team press or constant pressure.
Defence for Neymar is non-existent, but I do not believe that matters at all unless you are Jose Mourinho.
He definitely feels stronger than 49, though he goes down easily in the box from heavy contact often leading to a penalty.
His shooting is OP from either foot.
His dribbling? We do not need to talk about this!!
Passing is just as good as any top player in the game.
Stamina is quite good.
(Irrelevant but- If your opponent sees Neymar on your team you already have the mental advantage in the match)
He is going to lose every single aerial battle unless EA wants to allow him win one.
I have to say this man does hit the bar once in every 5 shots, which is quite frustrating especially when he should be scoring.
