Intro:
So it's the 2nd weekend league and been trying to improve at the game. Fut champs is full of drop back counter attack abusers. I played like this for the first 10 games and its just not fun , I would score one goal and literally pass for the rest of the match ( what a douche, I know).
The team:
I was playing pukki upfront in 4231 and kevin de bruyne behind him. Pukki was a good finisher but he kept taking too long to punish the opposing team I think this was due to his composure as soon as he was striking the ball a defender would slide tackle and block it. I had done all my icons swaps done and decided to actually have fun at this game again.
I really needed a striker that was faster and more crisp with the ball. I decided to redeem Crespo , I wanted Gerrard originally but i got so lucky in pack rewards i could afford another icon if i sold my team after this weekend league

Crespo:
He played my last 14 games and almost scored in everyone single one of them(2 lost). I changed to my usual 4411 and no instructions on him with kevin and maddison playing CF role on false 9.
He singlehanded saved me this week
He has medium\medium and that's why I put no instructions just let his 85 positioning do the job plus my tiki taka style always found chances for him. I have to say RB pass one to one makes him do some really good runs
I put a hawk on him but I noticed in game his passing is not great and would recommend Deadeye or Engine if you are more of a possession type player
His dribbling was nice not like bernard's or raheem's but he has sufficient agility to dance between defenders and create goals for himself which is something important for me as I like to manually dribble with left stick feinting and tricking my opponent. Plus my fifa style is rule number 1 -- don't lose the ball
He didn't have a problem holding up the ball for me, I see in the comments some say he needs a partner striker. I did try in game 41212 with bernard or raheem next to him but i prefer him as a lone striker maybe that just how I play to so you'll have to try that your self.
He has a clinical shot on him, finesses shots are deadlyyyy
I like to time finish most of my shots apart from the first time power shots and with him timing shots felt easier, you can kind of tell this year when the striker hit the ball right and all his shots felt that way
I don't usually cross but there was one game where I needed just a goal to win and I couldn't break this guy down I decided ro run down the wing with raheem and wip one lo-and behold crespo riffled a volley between two defenders almost ripping the net lol
I decided to write this review as all my games where in fut champs, I am sure in rivals he will probs do 2-3 goals a game
To wait another month for icons fut swaps is just very long, i'm too impatient and I know many special cards will be out before I get a Drogba or Michael Owen
So if you are like me needing someone deadly upfront who is almost a complete striker to last you until christmas or so I would highly recommend Hernan Crespo
on the market his price is now below 500k
I would buy him tbh, next I will try his medium icon.

At the begining it was a little bit difficult to play with him because before him I had Insigne in my squad, who was a lot more agile with the ball than Crespo.
But Hernan has a lot of other things, he has the best shoot that I´ve tried in this game, he scores everythin from every angle, in 126 games played he scored 160 goals and made 68 assits. 70 passing is a mistake, he has a great passing and he played very well with the midfielders and my false 9.
I´m not a very good player but he helped me to achieve my personal record in fut champions at my first attemp.
His shooting is amazing.

Has very good dribling and pace, but they aren´t the best of the game.
The strenght. It´s impossible for the defenders to steal the ball from him.
Sometimes it feels a little bit slow and clunky, but just sometimes.
The stamina isn´t great.
I was actually going to go for butrugueno but after 12 tokens i couldnt brother anymore. All in all he is a good striker.

I have used this card since the first icon swaps until present day. I have used in him with a striker, alone and as a CAM. In all instances he has been insane for me with over 160 assists in a 180 games at cam
- Finishing - with a hunter there aren't many chances that he wont put in the back of the net
- Aerial duels - even though hes 6' it feels like 6'3 in game and he consistently wins headers
- Passing - works as a cam
- Dribbling - it isnt world class but its usable
I was too lazy to get him from Icon swaps ( I got Nesta and Jay-Jay ) But I have an untradeable aguero so this guy helps me with links alot. This was a card I had wanated to try ever since I saw it, and luckily he's cheap enough for me to get him. I use Hunter on him and the only other chem style that might be better is engine, but I'm not wasting the 12k I spent on the hunter. I absolutely love this card in-game, he is the only player I've used that has better finishing than 84 Zapata who was my favorite #9 for the first part of this fifa. he is very fast and he has great dribbling, he makes great runs and always finds himself in the right spot to finish tap-ins. His physicality is decent, he has enough stamina for a striker and good strength. His passing isn't the best, but after using Zapata, anyone has good passing. What really impresses me with this card is the shooting, he hits it like a rocket every time and he can score from every angle, whether it's finesses to the back post or with his laces to the near post, he will score. I am planning on phaying him in a 4-2-3-1 with Orsic headliners on 8 chem at LAM, Aguero at CAM, moments Di Maria on 7 chem at the RAM, and with him at the 9. Overall he is a very good card, he is pacey and powerfull, and he has a deadly shot. I would highly reccomend.
- Pace, 97 acceloration and 95 sprint speed is pretty self-explanitory.
- Shooting, Very powerful shots, he can score from anywhere withing 20 yards.
- Dribbling, Decent agility with 4* skill moves and good ball control.
- Physicality, He is tall and pretty strong which makes him hard to knock off the ball.
- Linkability, He is, of course, an icon, but there are many good Argentine options as well, Aguero, Gomez, Dybala, FB Mascherano, Headliners Tagliafico, etc.
- Passing is the biggest problem I have waith him, he will sometimes give the ball away on easy passes.
- Defending, Doesn't matter.
- Versatility, I wouldn't think of playing him anywhere but striker.
not much to say. amazing player for his price (300k on pc) with a hunter he is really fast + 6 feet tall with good strength

I needed a striker. Preferably an icon for a low-ish price. He had already been beasting me in rivals so I knew I had to try him. He has been used in div 5 and 6 rivals and also fut champs.
My team: Joining him in attack in the 4-2-3-1 is Perisic (RAM) , Aouar (LAM) and Messi (CAM).
I have some brilliant play makers and dribblers behind him but that does not stop him from dominating the goals and even assists.
Pace: I bought him with the Hunter chem style so the pace has been greatly boosted to 96. He beats most defenders in a race and you can hit and go with him. No problem with pace.
Shooting: Amazing, all angles. Makes brilliant runs through and is clinical in front of goal. Normal shots are amazing and finesse is just as good. Having the finesse shot trait makes it so easy from all positions. Often scores hat-tricks and wins you games with his shooting alone.
Passing: Not too much to say just good. Surprisingly good with no boost. If he drops he can play through balls to the wide CAMS and short passing is good. 4* weak foot is also great.
Dribbling: Great with his 4* skills can take people on and dosen't really need boosting. Composure helps in front of goal and skils are fun to use.
Defending: N/A
Physical: Just average really is all good but could maybe use more stamina in some games.

Crespo is a great striker for the first phase of FIFA, but he became outdated several months ago. He is bullied easily by defenders and his shooting isn't that good. His composure feels really low in-game, defenders only need to look at him and he shoots like Höwedes. I chose him as my first icon-swap and I regret that decision very much. Because of his medium AT. WR he won't make runs automatically. Overall: A very mediocre card, nothing special about it...

Alright. Crespo. Great Player. If i have to be honest, he is a great striker. Scores 95% of shots and is a game changer. I played 8 games with him, 17 goals and 2 assists. I used normal Bernardo Silva at CAM keep in mind. If you put a Hunter on him he has great pace, but he still does feel a little clunky. Other than that, he is a great and complete striker!
