I have played with Marega for so long, he was in my starting squad and I want to tell you a few things about him. When I first tried him, I thought that he was a beast and that he is awesome and how can a player be that strong? the answer was that it costs in his dribble. He has 65 Dribbling, and to be fair, it feels less. I mean, for a starter squad he might do the work and score awesome goals, but when you get to 20 games with him you begin to understand why he doesn't seem so strong on the ball. I used Marega with Sniper chemistry style, but his Dribbling is sow low that it almost had no effect. Now, don't get me wrong! Marega is a very good player to put on your starter squad, or at your bench for a super sub, but I don't feel that his stats are good enough to be a starting striker.
Now, let's talk stats. Pace:
I feel that his pace is low because of his dribbling and agility. The player can't hold a ball, which means that if you begin to run with him and stop, it's a lost ball. Marega could be better as a LW that comes in the box and gives a finense shot, not a crosser though (65 Crossing).
Dribbling:
How can I begin? I don't mean to be offensive or something but i had a non rare gold striker called Uth with 3 chem that has better composure than Marega with sniper chemistry style. It's ridiculus. Not a player to get passed defenders.
Shooting:
With Sniper chemistry style, I can say that when Marega shoots (when he gets the ball in the box because he can't dribble) it feels as good as a 10k striker, which is a compliment. One of the reasons I kept playing with him was because of his 87 shooting, but even when you have deadly shooting, 3* weak foot it's a shame. I liked Marega's finense shots, and sometimes even his shots outside of the box.
Defending:
Nothing much to say, as a striker you don't get so many defending opportunities, and his heading wasn't the greatest as well.
Passing:
So many lost balls because of his passing. I try to complete one simple pass and he somehow get's the ball to the other team. I don't recommend playing him as a CAM because of his passing.
And last, but not least, Physical:
Great physical stats, one of the greatest, so strong without the ball and he is very agressive, and he can last forever with his amazing 93 stamina. But when he has the ball, he falls from every tackle because of his dirty balance.
To sum up Marega is a good stater squad striker only, and if you like strong players that will try to reach for the ball at every situation, Marega is the one. Don't even try to stop a run with him, dribbling is very very low, but he has quite good shooting with sniper chemistry style. I liked his finenses.
