For whatever reason, when I bought this card for weekend league, I thought that old mate Padelli would beat his terrible irl performances for Inter and really show up. Now, while he did show up, while he was there he seemed rather lost on the field.
If there was one benefit on the card, it'd be his tendencies to sweeper keeper. Although he needs a little kick to get going, Daniele is a terrific sweeper of the ball and very frequently won one on ones. Despite his 45 speed, he felt pretty quick. Another good thing was his kicking. He always hits the target, and I gotta rep him for that.
That's about it though. In terms of normal goalkeeping things, Padelli is awful. He can't dive. He barely gets to the ball with this hands and will never be able to catch a ball. With the near post meta, this is highly problematic and as a result he conceded between 3-4 goals at a bare minimum. On set pieces in particular, he was a mess. By the end of the time I used him, I called his positioning off of corners the "daniele flounder" because he always seemed to be in the wrong place.
I won 4 games out of 23. 4 games. If you like losing, he's great. Otherwise, hard pass.
