If I could go two weeks back in time, I would tell myself that the review im about to write its all just a pile of bullsh....!!
So here it comes:
The weekend was coming fast and I was tuning my team for the upcoming weekend league when I got reminded that I'd sold my TOTGS Ter Stegen just to take the profit and save up for the January TOTY event with either TOTY Ter Stegen or more probably TOTY Alisson. Actually, I sold every tradeble card I had exept OTW Yedder and RTTF Militao. But lets not get sidetracked, you probably dont care about that.
I didnt have any good GK in my club that linked to my two Brazilian LaLiga CB's. Well that was what I thought! As the cheap McDuck I im, the empty GK spot got filled by this random (no offence, fans) untradeble GK named Herrerin. The stats looked okay enough so I decided to give him a shot in the WL. He was not going to get more than one chance to prove himself, one small mistake and I would throw that guy out. Ive gotten used to Ter Stegen, so he had some pretty big shoes to fill.
The first opponent I got was in the "Ohhh, I hit the limit on moms mastercard" category, Eusebio, IF Van Dijk, prime Butragueno, Mbappe and POTM Messi. I layed my team a little bit lower than usual, forcing the guy to shoot. Herrerin caught everything, long shot, 1v1, low-driven shots and finesse shots. During the match I forgot that he stood in goal, I was playing well and won the game. I started the next match right away, not thinking about who stood in my goal and just "presuming" it was 91 rated Ter Stegen. The same story goes on and on.
30 games of weekend league later, im ending on my best rank this fifa (gold 1).
Just try him, maybe you like him as much as me!
- He keeps his position well and doesnt rush out in the last second to leave the goal open with a little pass to the side.
- He is fast and has good reflexes.
- Passing is fenomenal, and kicking is great.
- He is cheap af.
- Easy to link.
- Good handling, he doesnt drop the ball in the box or rebound in dangerous areas.
- Hes only weakness is low driven shots from sharp angles near the long post. But nothing to big.
