So I'm in 2 minds about doing this review, because I don't want other people to use this maniac against me...but it's Christmas. A time for giving and all that nonsense. So here we go...
My original plan was to pick up 85 Oxlade Chambers and put him in my fitness squad, as none of the other players would really fit my starting XI, but as the season went on, my team got switched up big time, and it turns out I could get Gelson into my team on full chem, so I decided to bite the bullet and try him out, and I'm glad I did!
First off, he has great stats in all the right places that go with his 97 pace to make him seem faster. 90 dribbling, 98 agility and 95 balance. I used a sniper chem to push up his reactions, composure and finishing too.
This dude is seriously rapid. He's left many a full back contemplating their career choice after leaving them in his wake for the umpteenth time. His positioning and runs off the ball make him an even greater asset.
Next is his dribbling. I have to laugh at this because it's honestly like he's plastered his shoes with glue. The ball just gets stuck to his feet. There have been times people have tried tackling me, but they just cant take the ball. 9 times out of 10 he comes out on top. L1 dribbling is also OP with him because he can slide in and out of most tight and awkward situations. He's a very dangerous player inside the box.
His shooting. Also crazy. I had to check his stats again because even though it says he has 81 shot power, it feels like it's in the 90s. He's absolutely rattled the net for me and scores some right bangers!
Passing is also decent on this card. With 82 vision and 80 short passing, he doesn't get much wrong. His crossing is also brilliant. Scored a few goals (EVEN A HEADER! OMG!) with his crosses. They're pin point and rather powerful. One thing I've found is because he favours outside the foot shots/crosses, I've tended to cut onto his weaker foot and send a ball in with the outside of his foot. They seem to be very OP with him.
All this, combined with the fact he has 91 stamina means he'll be doing this pretty much throughout the entire game.
This has been one of my favourite cards to use. I'm currently a div2 rivals player and a Gold 1 WL player. I've only used him for 10 FUT Champs games so far but I'm currently 9-1, and he's been a big highlight of my weekend league so far!
Overall I'd give this guy 4.5 stars. I'd feel like a liar if I gave him 5, seeing as those kind of ratings should be reserved for RW players such as Messi.
