i woke up, saw some youtubers praising this Diego Carlos which i never heard about before. lol
So i thought,....what the hack lets try him since my 92VVD is great but i have some issues with him running like a crazy man into the opponents box for no reason.
paired him up with Flashback Miranda. both on Shadow. Now i had 2 97 CB. And i can tell you so far from my 5 WL games........ the Chinese wall has been taken over by Brasil !!!!
He flies through the penalty box like a MIG and crashes anything that stands in his way. always at the right spot. powerful. agressive. fair. great dribbling. in one word.....just INSANE (and the same goes for Miranda)
everything
nothing. maybe Stamina. he gets a bit tired if you put him on aggressive tackles. but no need to do so. he is aggressive by nature.
I previously ran with Ronald Koeman from Icon swaps next to my SBC Opara to get him max chem. Opara, for me, is the best defender in the game, as not other player can combine such abilities in pace, defending, passing and physicality other than the top spec Van Dijk and Ramos. So when Carlos popped up in a 2 player pack, I was pleasantly surprised and had to work him in. This is the reason why I haven't given him a 5* for value, since a) I burgled him, and b) he is untradeable. Games played in rivals using a mixture of my go to team and a la liga team. I added a Guardian to him to mimic how Opara handles, making him a tall, agile, fast defender that has maxed out defensive ability. Having used him for a good amount of time, I have to say, he matches Opara in pretty much every way. Anyway, stats:
Pace: No need for a shadow (don't be that guy) as he has yet to be outrun by any forward I have come up against. Covers out wide very well when the full back pushes forward, acceleration and sprint speed are top notch. His acceleration is the best aspect, and due to his proximity to the goal, you'll never be concerned. 10/10
Shooting: The one blight on this card. Non existent, but you don't really get him for this area. Pretty rubbish at every attempt, and didn't score from a set piece for me, although that may be my inability with from corners. Not worth ranking.
Passing: Excellent for the basics. Short passing is spot on, and long passing is good enough to play out from the back. Crossing is poor, slow and inaccurate, but there are not many centre halves that you buy for the crossing stat. 4* weak foot is a nice bonus. Never bothered with the free kicks, so can't comment. 7/10 seems bad, but that is down to the poor crossing, and in reality you won't be doing much with him.
Dibbling: Fantastic, especially with guardian. Balance of 70 doesn't appear a problem since he is rarely knocked off the ball, and improving the agility and ball playing aspects really makes this card elite. His transition in defending is top notch, and his calmness to make tackles and stop attacks is well represented. He even brings the ball out well when attacking, which was a nice surprise. 8/10 since 10 is for the Ansu Fati's, and 9 is for the attacking midfielders and wingers.
Defending: Standing tackle is brilliant, sliding tackle is as good as you can get, and his speed and agility really assist with his interceptions. There isn't an area in the defence which he falls down, and that makes him well worth it in my eyes. Adding to that, he can do it with both feet. 10/10, and as a poor player who spends a lot of time defending, this is not given lightly.
Physicality: No problems. Dominant in the air and off it. Stamina has not been a problem since he is a centre half. Yet to be pushed off the ball as well, and the aggression is really evident when winning the ball. 9/10, purely because if you sprint all game, his stamina does drop
In conclusion, worth it? A defender for that price, he better tick all the boxes, and fortunately, Carlos does that, with a 4* weak foot and perfect work rates. He matches Opara's ability, and adds to it a better weak foot, better links, and a more assured performance. Fantastic, and a nice link to a certain Spanish left back found in objectives.
lucky enough to Pack him in the Laliga TOTTS SBC he went straight into my lineup replacing 87 konate which is a beast btw.
The first thing you feel about this card is his pace, catching every single player on the field even if its mbappe or traore
High agility and pace and his def. positioning are the key factors in this card being superb. like a magnet he catches every ball and most of his tackles are successful with the right chem.
Now lets rate his stats:
PACE(5/5)
Can catch every player in game nothing more to add
DRIBBLING(4/5)
You don't expect your defender to dribble past players,do you? well if you do he can actually dribble! Good ball control and dribbling make him a decent dribbler.
SHOOTING(N/A)
Just didn't get the chance to shoot with him but his headers are not bad if you wanna score from corners.
DEFENDING(5/5)
With the right chem style nobody can dribble past him, strong, accurate and fast when he tackles.
PASSING(3.5/5)
Not really a fan of his passing, sometimes he make an absolute joke of a pass to your opponent defenders if you try his long passing. just try to pass it to the available player.
PHYSICAL(5/5)
BEAST. I mean 99 strength and 99 aggression, what else do you expect? Feels amazing!
I know FIFA 20 is in its dying days, but it still managed to surprise me. I packed him in Pre Season and decided to test him before selling, to see if the hype was real. My defense was already full La Liga, so it wasn't a problem fitting him in. Mendy SH-Lenglet SH-Diego Carlos-Semedo SH.
After 3 Rivals games without conceding, I realized he was quite something. Even though he is fast and agile, the defensive positioning was the biggest highlight here.
Combined with great tackles and physicality, he is definitely endgame material. I mean, I've given up on selling him. Sticking with a 370k player when I could be using on of my untradeable CBs must mean something.
Be aware: don't force long passes or expect too much from his shooting. But he is a CB, and in that, he excels.
What. A. Card. If it were a life or death situation and I had to pick between a doctor and Diego Carlos, slap me silly, I'm picking Diego Carlos. As a standard 14-7 Fut Champs player, tossing in Diego Carlos, I didn't really think it would have a big influence on my performance. However, I was wrong, first fut champs weekend with Carlos and I'm currently on the verge of Elite 3. I'm not saying you'll have the same luck as me with Carlos, however, this card is simply amazing.
Speed.
Very Physical.
Lasts the whole game.
Not clunky, even in awful gameplay.
Nothing really, just don't shoot with him unless it's your lucky day.
