Nimble, maxed pace and shooting

One of the best players to run in behind with (especially in first half, see cons). His med-med workrates are not an issue since you can make him high-low using the tactics Stay Forward with custom tactics. I also recommend keeping him on Get in Behind. In the box, he is lethal at any angle given his 5* weak foot. Taking many touches in the box with butra baits defenders and creates open space which he is agile enough to enter into and finish easily. The drag-back is very useful but it becomes ineffective at the later end of the game where his speed and agility are stunted by his stamina. His stamina isn't terrible but it is very noticable in the later end of the second half. Butragueño is far more useful closer to the box than from far out - due to the recent (november) updates, the longshot mechanics have changed; his long shots are noticeably average so I would try to get as close as possible to the goal before shooting. The main thing this card lacks is 4 or 5* skills. If he had this (along with better stamina) he would definately be top 3 or 4 cards in the whole game.

Being an icon striker, he is very easy to move around your squad; change to a CF, CAM, CM or CDM optimal links.

David Villa Link

In a 4-5-1 formation it is possible to link David Villa on full chemistry (David Villa as ST and Butragueño as one of the CAM's).

Chemistry

I would only ever place a Hunter on Butragueño which pretty much maxes his shooting stats excluding long shots.

Fifa 20 vs Fifa 19 Butragueño

If you used him last year you will find he is very similar, albeit slightly less effective. Nevertheless, he is still amazing and a star in my squad. If you are considering getting him for futswaps, I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Swift gamechanger

I did the icon swaps and initially aimed for Drogba. But after some investigation I found that most people found Drogba too sluggish and "everyone" praised Butra. So I decided to go for the little guy instead. I haven't regretted it - he is so agile and fast. I also have Messi in my squad and Butra with his five star weak foot he feels even better (or it could be that I am too used to Messi).

Ait, so a quick review for those considering his fut swaps, You are probably considering Hagi, owen, sanchez or any other lower card. I can tell you, I was considering Hagi or Sanchez too.
