Verratti - Annoyingly Good

Honestly, his stats don't look very promising for a CM, especially the speed and shooting.

But don't let them fool you! I bought this card on day one and it is still in my team. I play him as a 2nd CDM with Shadow in a 4-2-3-1.

His passing, agility, and ball control are absolutely outstanding and he feels surprisingly fast on the first 20 meters.

Where this card really shines is the way you can annoy your opponents. He's like an angry mosquito buzzing around tirelessly.

Whether it is in the attack build up or in the defense, he's very present on the pitch and always aggressive.

Once I start abusing his 4* skills by dribbling and turning around my opponents, they usually loose temper and get yellow and red cards easily.

This is almost as satisfying as scoring....

Overall, the card is real fun to use and this is what matters the most to me.

Of course there are better and stronger CDMs in the game, but no one felt as fun to play with as Verratti.

Incredibly agile and fun to play.

Excellent ball possession.

No height and short legs.

Don't use him for long runs.

Let me start by saying I would definitely be defined as a casual on FIFA, but even I find Marco Verratti to be one of the more under-rated cards in FIFA 20.
