The Sevilla Rock!

Deigo Carlos, a RTTF item. Yes, this is a RTTF so he will upgrade if Sevilla get through stages of the Europa League, glad we got that out the way with! I played this guy on 8 chem to try him out next to Lenglet in a 4 at the back formation. Honestly, this guy surprised me! He feels strong, he marks your opponent’s strikers closely and due to that, 9 times out of 10 he wins the ball. You could compare him to Varane and he sure does feel like it. What I liked most about this guy is that he always seems to be in the right place at the right time, on his toes ready to make that interception when he is closely marking your opponent. Yes, he does have 79 interceptions but with his Defensive awareness and Standing Tackle being 85 and boosted with an anchor, the stats are impressive and acceptable compared to the current CB’s we have now. The value of the card, you can decide whether its good/bad value for money depending on how much you want to spend and what cards in your club you want to sacrifice to get this man. To sum up my opinion on this card down to his performances in game, I like him a lot, amazing and a trust worthy dependant CB to have.

The pros of this card are as followed:

RTTF - He upgrades due to how his team performs during the Europa League.
Pace – His pace is comparable to Varane.
Reactions – He reacts so well to make an interception when an opponent attempts to dribble or knock the ball past him.
Passing – You are wondering as if, well his short passing is acceptable and can play out of defensive very well.
Defensive and Physical duties - Defensively he is amazing as stated in my review and his body physique is like to a Varane. He can definitely win a header (when FIFA should allow him to) and his strength is exceptional!
Linkability - He is Brazilian playing in the La Liga so links can be fairly easy to accomplish

The cons of this card are as followed:

Cosmetic Look – He doesn’t have a game face so this a con in my opinion..
Stamina? – You could question whether stamina is an issue but really, it’s not so bad as you’re not running rings with him but you could question whether to the end of the game, your opponent subs a super sub on and blitz past him. However, it wasn’t an issue for me.
Balance – His balance isn’t so great so can be outplayed by the better playing using the likes of Messi/Mertens/Insigne etc. (small agile players are OP this year..)
Shooting – Let’s face it, you’re not going to shoot with him even if the opportunity arises.
Vision and Long Passing – With short passing he is acceptable and can play out of defence but do not try and ping a ball over to your wide players and strikers.

Unreal defender matched by Opara

I previously ran with Ronald Koeman from Icon swaps next to my SBC Opara to get him max chem. Opara, for me, is the best defender in the game, as not other player can combine such abilities in pace, defending, passing and physicality other than the top spec Van Dijk and Ramos.
