Player Review

84 - Headliners
3.0
Ok now, but with potential to be solid
By GBeskow, 23-01-2020

I have his 82 IF on my First Owner Ligue 1 squad so i picked the HL to test and because i felt it has potential to be good if he can improve to an 86-87 or higher. I tested him for 16 games at CDM and also CAM with different chem styles, Anchor when playing CDM and Hawk/Engine while playing CAM.

Pace: It's ok with a Hawk or Anchor and really needed if you want him to keep up with other players, if you want him as a CDM to just cover some ground and not test his speed vs the opponent or a CAM that can create chances, then it won't be a problem for you. You're not gonna like him if you want speed.

Shooting: With Hawk his shooting is good but not great, he can score but not as much as you expect. Without a boost it's really poor.

Passing: That's where he shines. No matter where he played his passing was always on point. Great at CDM to start a counter attack and solid at CAM to feed the wingers/striker. The only problem in this area is his curve skill, if you're a finesse shooting guy you'll notice that, which adds up to his shooting review.

Dribbling: You really notice he's not the most agile player in the world without the Engine boost, if you have a defender closing in he'll often lose the ball as he won't react fast enough to keep possession, with an Engine it gets better but then you'll miss on shooting or defensive boosts, which will hurt him a lot.

Defense: Not a bad CDM with an Anchor boost, he can cover some ground and get the job done but in the end there are loads of cheaper options in the market who can deliver the same quality or even better.

Physical: Anchor/Hawk make him good but Stamina is a problem, big problem. If you're looking for a CAM that helps the defense a little or a CDM that goes up, he'll be useless after 60-65 minutes. If you play him on Stay Back or Stay Forward then it's ok.

Final Grade: 6.5/10 - He has potential to be solid if he can get a boost, especially if he can get more agile, it's a cheap investment with room to pay off but who won't top any other similar player available now.

Brilliant value player with bare potential

Morgan Sanson is an unbelievably cheap card, with a lot of potential to become worth more. I use him on a newly created second account (1 month, infrequent play), in a 90k coins team. He is capable of dribbling with the ball and holding it for a good amount of time, therefore I play him as a box-to-box CM in a 4-4-2 formation, with standard Sissoko playing as a holding midfielder. It is important to have a faster holding mi...
